  • Ah, good plan. I didn't think of that. I come from a country which doesn't have zoning. (Planing applications are all taken on a case by case basis here.)

  • I partly disagree with your reasoning but I agree 100% with your conclusion..

I think that statistically heterosexual women have some significantly different healthcare needs than lesbian women and gay men and straight men also have some statistical differences, but as a healthcare professional you have no right whatsoever to refuse to treat based on those differences.

(I wouldn't count referral to a specialist as a refusal to treat.)

  • To be fair, if you don't want to follow orders without question, you will find being a foot soldier particularly unpleasant.

But your moral equivalence between following orders to kill without question and saving lives and healing people without question is utterly bogus and broken.

  • How does farming fit into this picture?

  • Amazon has been trying for many years to introduce American style working practices into the EU, disobeying laws on anti Union activities, maximum working hours directives, minimum holiday entitlement rules etc etc etc etc.

They got banned from directly lobbying the EU Parliament on the grounds of repeat offending and showing contempt for EU law and workers' rights. If you don't follow the rules, you don't get a say in what the rules are.

It's in Amazon's interest to weaken EU workers' rights generally because they'll get fined less and can still be competitive in the jobs marketplace with even worse pay and conditions if working conditions weren't so generally high in the EU compared to the US.

They've resorted to going via third parties who might also get banned as a result.

  • Doesn't Toronto have the tram lines east west or trolley busses and buses with cheap flat price through ticketing for each journey?

The cables over and underground run from the cheap, green hydroelectric power?

If it's cheap, regular, reliable with through ticketing, it's good public transport, not bad.

  • Yes, definitely, but I think you mean an exponential energy tax law, not a logarithmic one.

  • You keep pretending all over this thread that you would be increasing the income of everyone. You're ignoring completely that you change the tax system so that wealthy people pay more than at present so it's not inventing money, it's redistributing it. You also cancel a bunch of social security programs that it replaces.

Your sums are based on false assumptions and you're just spreading your FUD which is itself based on ignorance and fear. Stop trying to sound like you know something about it when you keep multiplying the population by the payment as if that was relevant in isolation of everything else that's part of UBI.

If you want to sound knowledgeable, first so the reading work of learning.

But I think you don't want to learn you just want to criticise because you don't like the idea of money going from rich to poor.

  • Tell me you don't know how UBI works in design or in practice without telling me you haven't learned much about it at all.

  • Wow. Sorry to hear that. That must be really tough to cope with.

  • Yeah is definitely not your fault. Although Thatcher has been dad for years now so i don't really think we can blame her, even though we can blame very for wire a Lt of neonatal veal she October on the UK in the 80s.

Sometimes i forget to check venue i P's send and end up posting some garbage that i have to go back and wit. Is really account, but in getting the gang of engendering to check add i go along.

Here is my safe space for just taking it as of comes.

  • When Microsoft bought Swiftkey it went downhill.

  • Having said that, I'm finding some of the arguments the other way here fairly convincing.

But conversely, I remember in 2010 I asked a youth group what they thought the main parties were about. They said that Labour were about making education better and the Conservatives were about making the NHS better. None of them remembered that the Conservatives massively underfunded the NHS and always prioritised tax cuts over public services. I was right. They were wrong.

  • So much this. 16 year olds rarely know (or care) much about politics, AT ALL.

This will make it much more likely that young people will acquire the habit of not voting.

Make them wait till they want it.

  • Actually, this was me yeah. I was typing on my new keyboard and it isn't quite the same as my old one and it wrote own his wing, and i just thought com it, I'll just leave whatever nonsense of comes out with. Who cars. Pele well be able to figure of what i was trying to day and it'll be OK. Will, yesterday i have in and wooed it, but today you have emboldened me an I'll just post abreast. Duck it. And thank you.

  • That's a top notch clip, thank you.

  • Not sure which way round you mean that. I hope the whole family has more harmony and happiness than just now, though.

  • Yeah, if it's possible to have a normal licking experience with something that's gaseous at room temperature, it's not going to go well if you do lick it.

  • Having kids can be stressful, but if you don't play a largely united front and instead allow the kids to play manipulative games against your partner, you don't communicate, you take sides and turn on each other, then it's because one or both of you is snide and used the kids to undermine the other person and the relationship.

It's still not the kid's fault if they were brought up to tolerate and play emotional games against family members. Kids start off life completely self absorbed and have to be taught to be kind, share, think about other people's feelings and prioritise relationships over things. No toddler knows this. All functioning adults do.
