  • I don't know. I've never even seen a police officer here take their gun out of the holster, no even put a hand over it.

  • Among european countries we were one of the worst, afaik.

  • I mean if the axiom is "any negative about immigration is bad = racism" then yes, there's no argument against immigration that could not be racist as those two concepts would be equivalent.

  • I think those are just semantics.

I get the feeling of not wanting to criminalize the existence of a person.

But it's common language to say that civil infractions are illegal.

You could totally say "It's illegal to park here" even if you would just get a ticket for that.

I get the feeling. But I don't think it is rational to think that anyone writing "illegal immigration" is racist.

  • I've heard a very compelling one actually. It's not about ilegal immigration but against immigration in general. I heard it in a youtube talk maybe like a decade ago.

It starts stating that the thing a migrant person wants the most is not having to emigrate. No one wants go have to leave their country because they cannot safely live a prosper life there. So the best outcome would be that the origin countries would change, so people wouldn't have leave everything behind to start a new life abroad. The problem is that the country have to change from inside. And the people leaving a country is usually the most qualified to make that change happen. So by leaving the country they make the change harder or even impossible.

I'm not arguing in favour or against this argument. But I do not think it has anything to do with race whatsoever. As it doesn't even talk about anything related to migrant presence in a receiving country.

  • Is your opposition to ilegal immigration based on race or skin color?

If the answer is yes then, yes, you are racist. If the answer is no, then no, you are not racist.

  • How is having more options a problem?

I'm playing games that came out 10 hears ago, and I have a backlog of many years and I couldn't be happier with it.

It's better than no having anything to play.

At a industry level we all know that gamedev is not a great career. Specially if you are indie the most common profit is 0. But it's ok. You can do it just for the love of it as I do. I spent time making games just because I love it. No everything have to turn a profit.

  • You go to the website and the images promoting the browser are using apple. The project is being developed only for macOS and linux. They decided to change the programming language to swift.

To many signs that the devs are appleheads and I get the feeling that the main target is apple, linux second and windows completely out of the box (states by devs themselves). Myself personally, not a fan on apple, I don't have that kind of money to buy hardware and I don't see any advantages on doing so.

  • Depends on the region. Where I live mostly as soon as they know your name.

  • My despise to ads is so big that if someday ads are completely unavoidable I'll settle for a system that just blackens the screen and mute the volume for the duration of the ads. It will still be worth it.

  • It's true. Having to constantly update some adblockers and ways to evade ads in youtube made me realize shitty youtube videos are not worth the effort and I barely use it nowadays.

  • Giving how apple adjacent the project is I have never had much faith in it being able to truly become an alternative to firefox.

  • The trick is that you don't need trust to enjoy life. You can enjoy the mental challenge of trying to find out the truth. But sometimes all you got is the vague knowle that they are lying to you, and you have to make do with that.

Focus on your pyramid of needs, and keep going. And try to see it more as a game or a hobby than your purpose on life if you don't want it to destroy you.

  • I feel there is a curve there. A stranger seems bad, once you know them they seem good, once you really know they you understand they are bad again.

There is a lot of facade in people's relationships that can hide the true faces of people as soon as you get close to them.

The classical example is the group of people going together to a party and having fun all together but when they return to their homes they start gossiping and thrashing on each other on their backs.

Sometimes I think that the deranged behavior we use to see online is more true to the true nature of people than in-person social iterations. As Oscar Wilde said, people are the most true to themselves when they are behind a mask.

At the end of the day the world is full of misery. And this misery is caused by people. People whose close friends and family surely can swear on how "good people" they are.

I suppose some people could feel comfort in the facade. Believing is real and letting it soothe you. But maybe OP has reach a level of awareness of the truth in human nature that they will just see through that facade and won't be able to feel comfort in the play.

  • Western Christianity is basically Roman traditions rebranded. Jesus was just a paint coat over it to make it look cooler.

  • Being very touchy and physical.

Cheek kisses are usual for strangers. And it's normal to touch people you barely know or have a small friendship.

    Country is Spain.

  • It seems that there has been a massive short lived ddos attack all over the web.

There have been several in the later years. Sone of them are linked to a botnet called AISURU that it's supposedly infected millions of devices worldwide.

Timing links most likely with an attempt at hybrid warfare against europe. My bet is israel or Russian linked due recent events.

  • Not going places they charge you money for.

You can go to a park, or spent a lovely afternoon at home, cook your own meals and clean your own clothes.

  • Punches with steel globes do hit hard. Lions can get concussions as well. Specially if they are not wearing helmets.
