  • You are talking about session. Session is a signal fork, and you don't need phone number. But there is some concerns about its security as, in order to properly work, it removed some signal features, I'm not qualified enough to understand if it's truly a security risk or not. But the option to use it is there.

    A good thing about Jellyfin is that we KNOW its insecurities because it's open source.

    Other software may be insecure like that but you would only know after an incident happens because you cannot audit the source code.

  • I don't know how is your country situation. Over here it is said "don't go to emergency room unless you have an actual emergency". Triage will make you wait for longer than an actual doctor appointment in a uncomfortable room full of sick people, not the place you want to be when you have a small disease.

    Also emergency room doctors are trained more in stabilizing emergencies. For small diseases you'll get better diagnosis and treatment in a general doctor.

    I would advise in learning what constitutes an emergency or not and act accordingly.

  • I know of a guy that went to a shelter for a dog, and they refused because he works with animals, in a farm. And they just hated him for it, excusing the refusal in "he is just going to use the dog as a dog guard", when this is not true at all, he already had a dog who is incredibly well treated and loved. But this shelter just hated farms, even this traditional farm which consisted in a 2-3 cows in a natural pasture, and refused to give this guy a dog.

    I don't know what's going on with shelters.

  • It is, same as nouveau drivers. But with a loss in performance, because not gpu hardware acceleration.

    The computer runs and linux with nouveau will be its final destiny. But as for now there are some games I play that are just on the edge that run very well with hardware acceleration but sluggish with igpu or nouveau.

    I will have to look into the new distro/old kernel thing. It may be a solution.

  • I tried Warhammer total war thinking I would love it. But the game was just... Not funny to me. I felt like the game was trying to make itself funny too hard. Like I was never able to breathe. Game would be literally spamming armies out of nowhere so I cannot stay a single turn idle, it was always giving me another mission, a new thing to do. Too overwhelming.

    I suppose it's specifically engineered with some other public in mind, but certainly it doesn't seems to be me.

    The best thing a parent can do when their kids become sexually active is to buy them condoms. Many unsecure sex at that age is done out of pure embarrassment over going to a place to buy them or having their parents know what they are doing. They are going to have sex regardless, at least do your best so it is safe sex.
