  • Yes! I think that gets lost a lot in this type of discourse. A lot of the time the real underlying issue is that our actions are being driven by fear rather than concious, measured choice.

  • I mean salt is still iodized. Fun fact, adding iodine to salt is actually seen as one of the most cost effective public health measures ever done.

  • Assisted in what way?

  • I mean you don't necessarily need to ask her out to talk to her about the whole situation, right? Think of it as collaborating together to solve a problem. I feel like in these kinds of situations sometimes just talking to the other person to figure things out helps even from an information perspective, because without talking to them you operate on assumptions about what they are thinking or feeling, and once you do talk to them you know a bit more about what's going on. It can be scary to bring up though. Also, if it were to turn into a relationship, how you can handle complicated situations like this matters, right? Better to start things off on the right foot with a collaborative discussion on solving a problem.

  • Hellraiser! Great movie.

  • I saw a project yesterday where the two main contributors were some guy and 'Claude'. So, y'know, that one at least was an easy tell 😂

  • Started checking it out, this is awesome, Thanks! I've had trouble digging up resources for this kinda stuff in the past.

  • I think just getting to know someone and judging them based on who they are is a lot more important. Rather than trying to suss out someone's group affiliations (like if they are part of ICE), why not simply pay attention to how they treat others and the kind of actions they take when faced with challenges? They will naturally show their embodied values and beliefs, and you can then make an informed decision on whether you want to associate with that person or not.

Essentially I think we should be judging people individually. Rather than trying to figure out what kind of person someone is based on their aesthetic choices like stickers or tattoos, see if they treat others with compassion. Everyone makes mistakes and does bad things sometimes, but the people worth sticking around usually recognize when they do, feel remorse, and work on it.

  • Sounds like the game wasn't exactly finished. Plus its just one project they finished at a studio, they could certainly have used the employees to work on a different new project.

  • I watched a cool video that covered this/the history of wall coverings not too long ago! Been a few weeks, but I think that old style involved horsehair mixed with plaster that they basically just slopped onto the walls.

  • Kinda just DARVO, isn't it?

  • Tencent is huge as well. Though only around 50% of their revenue is from gaming.

  • "There was no indication the Patriot Games would pit competitors against each other in a fight to the death, as of this writing." Lmaoo

Funny thing is, if they decided policy this way I'd guess it'd be more representative than the House of Representatives for California.

  • There are discord-matrix bridges the last I checked, but I never got around to actually setting one up so not sure how difficult that would be. Also not sure what limitations there are.

  • Well here's the thing. Rich people are kinda dumb.

  • I got a pillbox with an alarm on it which yells at me until I take my meds. Works pretty well!

  • Cookie Clicker (and clicker games in general)

  • I have this saved on my phone as a "quick troubleshooting guide"
