  • Yes. I didn’t have any problems so far. I guess, it’s because all my services are used by around four people, so the load is pretty low.

  • I am hosting both Forgejo and Immich in Docker Containers. I use the example docker compose files from both projects with minimal changes to fit my setup. The volumes are mapped to a Synology NAS that is connected via NFS to the Docker host. Backup is another synology NAS at my parents house. I never had to restore, so I don’t know how easy that would be…

  • Same for me. I use most of my services multiple times a week, so I find out pretty quickly if one isn’t working.

  • Not only that. that „investigation“ is so shallow, I wonder what kind of security they even provide…

  • I started with WordPress + Cooked, then moved to WordPress only, and am currently looking to convert all recipes to markdown as well. Will give mkdocs a try.

  • Immich, paperless, Bitwarden, and a static website with recipes. I am very happy with all of them. Next projects are Forgejo, obsidian live sync (via CouchDB) and a budgeting software (not decided yet)

  • I have pretty much the same setup. Works like a charm.

  • When I saw the first clips from Toronto I could not continue the video. Actually painful...

  • Same feeling about Jetbrains. I always upgraded to the latest Pycharm version until now. I actually downgraded from 2025 to 2024, because I don’t like the new UI.

  • Even though I knew about most of this, I never realized how striking the parallels are.

  • I want to host a personal dashboard with weather forecast and upcoming appointments. I couldn’t find anything that fits my needs so now I‘m building my own.
