  • Am I being dense to assume that one of the six names is "Donald J Trump"? Why would he not be one of the names?

  • They won't ever stop. Raping children is a symptom of being a billionaire. If you want children not to be raped, you need to ensure nobody has enough power to get away with it, because otherwise some will do it just because they can

  • Society uses maths to do science wherever possible; "the language with which god has written the universe".

  • Iirc Hong Kong was on a lease to the British gov, which ended in 1999. I don't know if giving it back was an option. Was there another choice the UK could've made?

  • Sure looked like it. Sure looks like you've been proved definitively wrong and now you're like iT wAs OnLy A jOkE bRo. You sure look like a bad faith commenter who can't admit they're wrong, or "twat" if you want to use the shorthand.

  • I got chills watching that.

  • As am Englishman, I am offended. The idea that I am not capable of preparing Italian food as well as a native, or that I would ever cook English cuisine in my kitchen, is outright racism.

  • I hate to break it to you but Norma Pielli died in 2015.

  • *Pointing out to the members of this internet forum.*For the purpose of laughing at the conservative and their strange values.*They prefer the picture on the left because it's more traditional, and they are afraid of the one on the right.*No, and I'm assuming they are not present in this thread so telling them they're desirable was obviously never the point.*I think the picture came from social media.*Yes we can talk about larger themes, but we needn't limit ourselves to that.*No they aren't, and no it isn't. It's you that's missing the point.

  • Isn't it the dictatorship part that's the problem? I don't think gulags and managed employment are an intrinsic part of socialism, just the authoritarianism of the Soviet.Same for capitalism really. If it's regulated and democratic it works fine for most people, but if it's left unchecked and allowed to go rampant, it causes all kinds of problems (different problems to a rampant authoritarian socialist state, but just as bad)

  • Is it though? It seems to me that at least part of the point is that the conservative appears to take it as read that everyone would find the image on the right less appealing when that's not at all true. The fact that this is wrong is part of the stupidity on display, and bears pointing out.

  • This is an ad hominem attack. I can abhor both the IDF and the CCP simultaneously, and this post is pro-neither. If OP posts something "repugnant", then call them out in that comment section.

  • Here's the proof, again. You abject liar.

  • Nope. They publicly supported Israeli "right" to starve Gaza, criminalised the support of a direct action group that opposes the genocide, continue to arm Israel, allowed Israel to attack British boats and kidnap British citizens sailing on them, continue to fly spy planes for Israel and refuel their planes at Akrotiri.

The UK government is complicit in genocide.

  • Why do you still tell this lie. I put you straight on this a while back. Some 30 licenses were suspended in 2024, hundreds of licenses are still active. The UK still arms Israel. You claimed this before, and I showed you the evidence that you were wrong. You are still repeating the claim. You are a liar.

  • U mad bro?

  • Just because Argentina landed there 500 years ago doesn't mean it's theirs

  • 100% agree. I hope to be alive to see it. Popsci would have me believe it's coming any day now.I kind of get the no waste framing, since the nuance is too technical for most people to bother with. If we say anything more complex than three words about waste, then we will lose public support for fusion. It's still not right, but I see a greater cause in that lie than the increase in clicks which is the driver for the lie that it'll be ready tomorrow.

  • Hmm. I wonder why you reached that conclusion? I think what's happened here is that you realised you lost the argument and you got too bored to keep on pretending you hadn't. I welcome your block, as I don't like talking to people who argue in bad faith. Bye.
