I didn’t mean that 150.000 is impossible. I meant that 150.000 is not hundreds of thousands. That would only start at a full multiple of 100.000. But as I also wrote below by now, its probably not as important as I took it in my first comment
I would understand hundreds of thousands starts at 200.000. At this logic 100.001 would already be hundreds of thousands, what makes no sense to me. But yeah, maybe its not that important as I made to be in my first comment.
I am from Europe and know the Netherlands well. Even if all is close by, the number was a bit to big. And looking at other news outlets, it was. Not even the organisers say that number.

Your graphics show how it is different. The big groups B-SUV and C-SUV are much smaller than a Cybertruck or F-150 (the most sold car in the US). A lot of that is absolutely also my opinion. But the slippery slope argument, that it will be worse in 5 years, I don’t believe. There is no reason for them to become a radical-right party. Just because we don’t like their policies, doesn’t mean they are the same as the fascist parties. There is still a clear distinction between parties with shit policies, but in the democratic spectrum and literal fascists.
Still the car sizes in Europe are smaller on average. But yes, as they get bigger all the time, its time to reverse that and make tighter regulation

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t support what Merz is doing. And yes, he is conservative and a capitalist. But saying he is the same as AFD or Trump is dishonest and not-helpful. We have to fight fascism and have to be clear where we draw the line. Grouping the centre-right, conservative, pro-capitalist with the real fascist, is just deluding the focus. Why so focused on USA? Not a fan of Merz at all, but thinking he is cozying up to Trump is quite the leap. EPP parties are generally not super into Trumpism. Thats more the Putin-lovers in the real right, that do that
If you have such a simplified world view, you will be disappointed too. If you can’t see that the project of European integration, mainly driven by France and Germany, was standing up for good, I wonder what else you are thinking. As someone living in a bordering country I appreciate we didn’t have wars within the EU in my life time.
