  • It could work. You'd just have to make sure to know when and where you will die. Then you could take your bones go back in time and die where you are supposed to.

  • I don't think the GNU/Linux name is even correct anymore. The amount of GNU utils is not as high as it once were and there are so many other components that are important or even essential now that it is somehow unfair to even name GNU so prominently.

  • I think the founder didn't like the idea of talking about each other instead of with each other. After enough people said they really wanted it they wanted to give people at least control. And don't necessarily am thinking that was the right decision but it came from a good place.

  • Oh it's not annoying me. I just don't want to learn see or speak the language. Since I moved a little further from the French border that is much easier.

  • You can set acls on directories that get applied recursively. This makes ist possible to have all files be the correct permission. I am on the go right now but you should look into setfacl. It's been a while but I am pretty sure that worked. That way you should even be able to say which groups or users can do what with granularity.

  • Yes but a lot is also language change. Knight for example was just spoken with a K and a fricative at that time and place. The writing just wasn't adapted to the changes in speech.

  • French was my only choice for a second foreign language in school and I hated it. Such a weird language. They need a writing reform. Bordeaux is just comically bad. English could use a writing reform as well.

  • I decided on KDE when I did my final switch to Linux a while ago and I am very happy. They came such a long way since I first used it and I prefer their direction over GNOME's. KDE is very configurable and by now incredibly stable.

  • No I am alright. Scrubs Season 8 was the perfect ending. Bittersweet but fulfilling. It would have been a shame if they added another season after that. /s
