  • I self host via vault warden. And I have it locked behind tailscale vpn. Aside from your server itself getting hacked, which is a risk, this is more secure than having passwords on the public internet.

  • Hmm.. good question. My current understanding is that it is leftovers of an ancient process and it slowly reduces over time regardless, we have to add leap seconds occasionally? Like maybe the dust cloud of earth sort of sucked together spinning, slowly at first, then faster as everything tied up and smacked into each other, eventually including the impact from the moon?

  • I was just coming to suggest this. Linux users are built different lol. My touchpad doesnt work. Buy a mouse. Display doesnt work. Its a headless server. Wifi is messed up. Buy a usb stick. If you can boot, that computer is golden

  • I run jellyfin, plex, mattermost, peertube, minecraft, all under one host. Never had anything conflict and just upgrade the rpms. Some of them use the same postgres database. Thats how I prefer to do things. I will use docker if absolutely forced, I know how, understand its easier to deploy etc. but I would rather it be the choice of the user instead of the software. Or if not rpm let me get in the source and run it.

  • Ideally yea. Rpm package with various architectures. 90% of other software is able to do it. I only use docker for immich and this would remove a dependency for me.

  • Possibly. I encountered players pretty rarely though, and normally only fighting 3-5 enemies at once. Lot of sand and particles though.

  • I had some good times in Dune Awakening on the 1080ti. Solid 45-60fps too. Also some bad times but not the cards fault lol.

    Edit: but ya its stupid that the perf is that bad when I can play games from 2005 (freestyle gunz) and get 144 frames locked. UE5 is so poorly optimized it is like 10 tomes worse than what came before
