  • Heat makes me sad because I hate sweating so I avoid sunlight and stay in a room with the fan on. I also dislike noise so I don't like having a fan or AC on, but what am I supposed to do? Only good thing about hot weather is taking a cold shower and enjoying it.

    My perfect weather is sunny and cold (between 10°C and 20°C). I love sunlight but it'd be nice if it didn't heat things up too much. I wish this kind of weather happened more often but sadly it's usually a few random days where it's suddenly colder for some reason.

    Dutch because I would like to live in or at least visit the Netherlands some day,

    French or Japanese because French is interesting and learning Japanese unlocks a whole other side of the internet (and UI design), and anime without subtitles.

    Out of those I'd probably pick Japanese, as Dutch is relatively easier to learn by non-magical means.

  • On a related note, I love olive oil but hate olives, because anytime a dish has olives at all, it tastes like there's too many olives. It's like the olive takes away the taste from the other ingredients and replaces everything with olive taste.

    Cilantro tastes fine to me though.

  • Hosting your own instance will always cost money? Either as an electricity bill, or in the form of paying someone else's electricity bill and server maintenance for conveniencd. Even self-hosted server admins pay with their time in away also, there's even moderation to consider as well.

  • I always think of segunda-feira as the first day of the week, despite the name; though it appears that calendars here start on Sunday (something I've never noticed).

    While it is the first day of the work week, it makes more sense to think of it as the second day in Portuguese so the naming stays consistent.
