  • A Walmart charging network sounds great for road tripping. You can stop in, grab some snacks and go to the bathroom, and sometimes there are restaurants inside or in the parking lot.

It's still, and always will be, fuck Walmart. I wish more truck stops and travel centers would ramp up with EV chargers.

  • Ouch

  • I don't like the looks, but 8.3" of ground clearance for a Subaru EV is cool. What's the range, though?

  • Now, the bigass overpriced truck on the other hand...

  • Subaru will lose the PNW to the R2 and R3 if they don't get moving on these soon

  • I'm not excusing the email server, but this is absolutely worse. Planning an operation like this on unsecured phones in an app that won't leave a paper trail and accidentally leaving an uncleared person in the chat... Holy fuck

  • Most of your warmth should come from a more insulated sleeping bag and pad. And/or doubling them up. Assume the tent is mostly just a wind break unless you're going down the hot tent route with a stove or heater.

There are winter tents with less mesh (to keep blown snow out) and stronger flies and poles for snow and wind, but 3 season tents can do a lot if you don't want to camp in a blizzard (I don't).

  • Maarva got it, too

  • Agreed, I've had some success using it essentially as a replacement for how I used to use Stackexchange, which is to remind me of a syntax or make a little function when I have to do some scripting once every few months, but I don't trust it for anything more than the basics.

  • Nvm, not interested

  • Yeah, alternate title: "Feedback Loop Works".

  • And soon(ish) the new Bolt, EX30, EV3, and R3.

  • You can still do better than human drivers wiith only visible light cameras by using more of them at different heights and angles than a person could pay attention to. I think mixing in other sensors and data sources would still be even better, but they're already getting more data than a human could.

  • I'm really hoping Rivian can pull off mass production of the R2 and R3.

  • I'd do 4 orders of magnitude less and take $4.4 million. That's immediate FatFIRE, never need to work again kind of money.

  • Gas station style roofs wouldn't hurt

  • There are definitely Leafs, but not a crazy amoun. Teslas are still king. I think that Leaf lease thing was a weird hack that very few people actually pulled off.

  • Where is that? I haven't noticed any in or around Denver, but maybe I'm just seeing them but not noticing them (which would also be a good thing).

  • For sure. My car's touchscreen started being intermittent last month, but luckily it doesn't control things like climate, volume, turn signals, getting into gear...
