  • Hoods are out of control. The rest of it is pretty much just a minivan in denial, though.

Idk what blue is in this picture, but green is an R1S and red is an Escalade, so compared to those it seems like a downright reasonable size.

I can't wait for the 3 row Telo.

  • The scramble for an Aldi Finds: EV would be legendary

  • And concerts

  • Switching from rings to a word is tragic

  • vehicle production starting in 2028

My R3 dreams are once again in shambles

  • I would be hard pressed to live in a bunch of these states.

IL and MI are cool but a lot of these...

  • I wonder if R3 production will happen at all in Illinois? Or not until this new plant is up and running?

  • I'm really hoping the R3 will be under $40k (it won't).

  • I like the size and shape. Not so much the animations and exterior speakers.

  • I've seen multiple Hummer EV SUVs and pickups in Denver suburbs and the mountains above town. It's the perfect fit for some of the conspicuous consumption suburbanites and gorp-core finance and tech people.

  • Can I get one with that wrap?

  • Does glare mess with that front screen?

Other than the instrument cluster part, the rest just seems like they're filling space because they have it.

And it eats into the driver field of view a bit, but I'm sure they have auto braking that will save some kids when the driver with reduced visibility is on their phone.

  • I'm not seeing many Canadian (consumer) EV companies. Really just AXL, that has a single generic SUV/crossover that doesn't look like it's shipping yet.

  • I feel like people should be clamoring for something with the form factor of the short wheelbase Buzz. 5 seater, sliding doors, and a huge cargo volume. That shape is so much more practical than the SUVs everyone gobbles up.

  • I like names so much more than numbers. ID 2, 3, and 4 become the ID Polo, Golf, and Tiguan would make me happy.

  • Wait what? The ID4 is the SUV one and the ID3 is the hatchback one that isn't available in the US? I guess the ID3 is a bit bigger than a Golf, but the battery pack has to go somewhere.

  • Those corporate lawyers need to prove to themselves that they aren't just a bullshit job

  • I mean, when "SUV" also has to include the Yukon XL...

"Crossovers" are such a mess that I just look at dimensions, not segments, at this point.

  • I'm really curious what the different add-ons will end up costing. The long range with a bed cover and speakers could be my next car.

The Slate, R2/R3, and Telo are all intriguing to me for different reasons, but the minimalism of the Slate is definitely a draw.
