  • Pro tip: Cut the baguette in a 45° angle.

It makes the first bite easier, and it looks better.

  • Trump.

He left the mess for someone else to clean up and now it's finally time for the usual golfing grifting.

Remember his last term? He "worked" a few months making wild statements and setting up ICE. Then he went golfing for 3.5 years.

He's getting old. It took him almost a year to get to that point this time.

  • "Sovereignty over military bases."

They already had that on Greenland since 1951. As recent as last summer Denmark even approved the same setup in mainland Denmark, so that the potential future American military bases in Denmark could be allowed to operate their bases under American laws instead of local laws, just like an embassy.

Needless to say, this is wildly unpopular at the moment.

  • The spectrum:

  • No doubt. I'm glad I had my 20s to roam around before getting kids, but I'm even more happy to still be young enough that I can travel the world and participate in physical activities with my kids as well. Having kids doesn't have to mean giving up on experiencing life. They're part of it, and they're the best people to share it with. In hindsight, I probably could have cut my party years short by five years without missing a thing. Having kids was the best thing in my life. It might not be for everybody.

I'm in the late 40s now, and I feel it's too late to have more by now. I know people who do in that age. Divorced couples going for the late common child or DINKs who finally made enough money. It looks really tough for them. It's temporarily hard work for a couple of years. It's hard if you're young and don't have money, but it's also hard when you're old and less agile and physical on top.

  • what is stopping women to have kids later in life

    Menopause.

But anyway, it's generally a good idea to have children earlier, because you'll get to spend more time with them and you won't be the weird old parent in the school. Also health reasons and whatnot.

As for misogyny, I think it's mostly from one generation to the next and also more often women to women. Most guys that I know would rather postpone having children as long as possible for the same reasons that you've stated.

  • Look at a population pyramid.

This site has done nice animated options: https://chartingtheglobe.com/demographics/population-pyramid

If you want to see more regional overviews, then the CIA also has some nice selections here:

    https://www.cia.gov/the-world-factbook/references/population-pyramids-by-region/

The main issue is that the population is getting older. Not enough new borns to pay taxes to care for the old people in twenty years. This can only be solved by immigration from countries with higher birthrates.

  • Yes it takes some time to decode, but it has lots of info.

It would be nice to somehow compare distances, time and population density as well.

Americans drive a lot, but they don't actually drive very far for work, whereas in Europe it's rather common to work in a different city than where you live. Asia has the highest population density and this benefits them both in finding local work and building public transport.

  • I found this picture showing the whole world.

  • That looks like the Emerica G6 Wino slip-ons.

I wore those out in about a year just from walking. The bottom isn't very good, which is a shame, because they're otherwise very comfortable and durable.

  • Shelf angle brackets would beat both the shelf and the screw.

  • Euopean prisons are too good for him, and I don't care about justice at this point.

He should be placed in an American mental asylum for the rest of his days. A lobotomy and a few daily electroshocks would do good for his dementia and keep his mania in check.

  • Buy Florida? Forget it.

    Let's try again:

How much are you willing to pay us for sailing three longships full of drones onto the beach at Mar-a-lago and claiming the land as ours?

(The boat-show is a useless but mandatory expense).

  • No. A picture of almost anywhere else in Scandinavia would feature at least one tree.

There might be a few places in northern Norway that looks somewhat similar, but those wouldn't look like that in January.

  • Okay, so I can't really get angry over a demented old man yelling at the clouds, it's what they do...

But exactly what is happening in USA since there's nobody telling him to shut the fuck up? Somebody wrote this on a piece of paper for him and put it in an envelope and send it through as diplomatic post between two nations. And NOBODY at any point whatsoever had the courage to tell him what is obvious to everyone else on the planet: That these are the dumbest words every written on a piece of paper in the entire history of mankind. Really?

What are they so afraid of?

  • Det er tøjforretningen som er hårdt drevet, og der hvor han tjener penge.

F.eks. under coronakrisen.
