Most people in telecom are old and are analog phone people, they don't know ip/sip and don't want to learn.
It's basically a small networking job that you never get calls on nights and weekends about and if you do it's a system you can reboot remotely. If it's not the system it's a switch and its someone else's job.
Telecom isn't sexy but it's still needed, no one's going into it as it's not 'sexy' and to be honest it's easy AF.
Only because I hear a lot about Russia doing it here and it's effectiveness... Meanwhile Putin is still in power... It just seems if the us is doing it as well, we just ain't as good as it.
Point a has always me me wonder, is that accurate? Are there actually people going through the code to make sure open source isn't malicious? I can barely read my coworkers code... Let alone a strangers.
It sucks because I use reddit as a source to find out info about products . Now I won't.
So ultimately I might buy less?
