  • My new account has insufficient karma to post (another petty rule)

This drives me up the wall, especially when they don't even tell you how much you need. I get why they do it, but it just promotes shit-posting in other subreddits for the sole purpose of being able to post in another subreddit.

  • That doesn't mean people should be executed because they're suspected of something, their guilt needs to be proved first.

  • Lol seriously. It's things like this that put me off this site. It's unhinged. If any other state executed people in the streets without due process these same people would be up in arms, calling them fascists. But Hamas do it and it's all good. I'm convinced some users here see any criticism of Hamas as meaning that it's a show of support for the IDF/Israel.

  • Do you approve of executing accused people without actually proving that they're guilty of being accused of first?

  • @cm0002@lemdro.id Did you take this pic yourself? I've seen this same sign also at a maize maze and wondering if it's the same place!

  • No, and it's literally not once ever been mentioned between my wife and I in regards to our son. It's an absolute non-issue and it's never been something that's been mentioned with any previous partners.

  • I think it's an introvert vs extrovert thing. For introverts, silence is the default and lots of talking is draining. For extroverts, silence is unnerving and makes them uncomfortable, and conversations energises them.

  • I'm guessing that character is a native button on their keyboard? Otherwise surely it's more work to get that character vs just typing "th"

  • Really it depends on the individuals and what their home and office environments are like. I work from home 95% of the time and much prefer it over being in the office, but if I lived in a house share with housemates or had very little space then I'd probably feel more productive in the office.

One thing I do miss about commuting is the return journey. It was nice to have a gap to decompress from work before getting home, now it's straight off calls and 10 seconds later I'm dealing with a trillion questions from the kids and immediately start cooking dinner.

  • Running. I'm slow and can't run particularly far for how long I've been doing it.

  • And you had to tell us about it thrice!

  • Oops

    Jump
  • This was probably more expensive.

  • The general rule is that you should be able to see the rear tyres of the car in front. If you can't, you're too close.

  • Will I have to sell my kidneys to afford the travel?

  • Probably several times a year. My best mate lives in a different country, everyone has young kids so things always take ages to arrange.

  • Well it would be rather irresponsible to leave the kids at home alone.

  • What don't you like about it? Not enough content or the politics?

  • I was well into adulthood when I learned hamburgers aren't made of ham. I never ordered one as I didn't want a ham burger.

  • Did she push for this when she was prime minister?
