  • Tesla has always been an AI company. They've had tons of machine learning going on in their cars basically as long as they've existed. What exactly is changing? Are they going to start trying to use generative models like GPTs in their cars?

Edit: lol people really don't like that someone mentally categorizes stuff differently than they do. Sorry I've offended you all so deeply with my differing definition of "AI company"

  • There are lots of articles about how they make their search results worse on purpose for more profit. They alter search queries on the server side to give results for a search which is more aligned with an advertising partner. They inject AI into search results which can be wildly wrong.

  • Lol that took me a second

  • Hopefully Charlie gets his sentence reduced for good-boy-haviour

  • He's not wrong

  • I mostly prefer ebooks and audiobooks. If I am buying physical books I usually prefer paperback if it's something I intend to only read once or twice like a novel, and hardcover if it's something I expect to open a lot like a TTRPG manual or coffee table book.

  • I don't mind fast food kiosks, but I really hate self checkout at the grocery store. It's literally making me do the work someone else used to do for me of scanning and bagging items. It makes everything take longer. And if you fuck up even a tiny bit, it starts screaming that you are an idiot loud enough for the whole store to hear until an attendant comes to help.

  • Oh I'm right there with you. I once had my dog almost die from eating poison someone had left out to deal with mice

  • Thanks to this muni and anon6789, I am very aware of owls

  • Probably not, since Git is federated and decentralized. There are no git "accounts". Git asks for your name and email but those are basically meaningless unless the repository hosting platform does something with them like ties them to an account identity.

You could maybe use the GitHub activity view by also mirroring your projects from elsewhere onto GH

  • That is what tar stands for. Interestingly enough, tar is based on an older util called ar, which was just a generic archive.

  • My life has been enriched by learning this. Thank you for this gift of knowledge OP

  • No variant rules unfortunately according to the Fdroid. You should check out the sudoku games from Cracking The Cryptic on the Google Play store if you want that. They aren't FOSS but they have hundreds of handcrafted puzzles for a few bucks.

  • I did computer science in uni and it was never an issue. The only time I remember needing specific windows software was a RISC processor simulator we used in my low level programming class, and for that there was a hefty license on the software anyway, so basically everyone used the lab computers.

  • He's been promoted to branch manager

  • Flights have amenities. Some give you free food, some free wifi.

None of it is actually free of course. It's just that the cost is included in the ticket price.

  • Often bred for its skills in magic

  • Damn that sounds like yet another one. The fediverse really needs to come up with a way to federate bans. We shouldn't have to play whack-a-mole

  • Different ban evading incel troll lol. I guess I'm gaining a bit of a rep for spotting them?

Edit: the other one is currently mascara@lemmynsfw but I haven't accumulated quite enough proof to report him again.
