Due to modern medicine and other aspects driving down mortality, human evolution isn’t really based on survivability (I assume it’s more based on attractiveness currently?). If we assume that people who have less sensitive eyes would have the same survival rate, would people still evolve to have more sensitive eyes?

My thoughts are that prolonging the war is preferable to securing a poor peace on the home front. As long as the war is going on, they can claim they are advancing and beating back huge offensives. I forget how bad it can be in the US sometimes. Where I live, managers and directors have their own unions, since normal workers and their unions have so much power. System works quite well, since it requires cooperation between the camps. Vindictive workers and impotent leadership doesn’t work either.

I’ve been looking at getting a no gui terminal device to use on public transit and such to avoid doom scrolling while still being able to read/write blogs and perhaps to some light programming. This is the first product that seems to be in a good price bracket for what purpose as well.
