Because sometimes it isn't always clear what will be a spoiler. >!And I think spoilering everything would be silly and not helpful at all. Especially considering that different Lemmy clients do spoilers differently sometimes!<
I've seen people get butthurt over spoilers from NES games. To me, that feels unreasonable.
There needs to be a point where we stop agonizing over spoiling content that is 30, 40 years old. Even if you never had a chance to play it, it's 30 or 40 years old. I don't know where that cutoff point needs to be. I'm just saying there needs to be one. And if you're going to be upset over spoilers, over content that that's that old, then maybe you need to be careful about what you're reading.
I get that, but sometimes the "spoiler" is what's discussed. Or worse, we don't realize that it's a spoiler, because you didn't watch some related media that revealed it.
Do you think that no one can talk about a thing they like just because you've been too lazy to interact with it? The world doesn't stop for you. Out of consideration, spoilers will be avoided. Not indefinitely though.
Yes. Some AURs have been recently afflicted with RATs. They were taken down as soon as they were found, and it's not an uncommon thing as AUR is largely unregulated by anyone other than Arch's community.
Which is good. That's how it's supposed to be with FOSS.
"Without plan" my ass. This was the plan. Anything to justify starting. The only thing "without plan" is stopping. They'll stop when the targets run dry. 😥
Well, the song is from 1996. And Linux definitely was having trouble with sound then.
