  • I have the courses. It's a collection of videos, pretty short ones, but it's hundreds of videos. Dunno why all the hate here. But it's been helpful for me.

It would be difficult to rip them and time consuming. Is there a course your more specifically interested in?

  • Its 2 hours of play or two weeks from purchase, whatever comes first. Pretty nice actually.

  • Money. It's always about money. If they think it will sell, they will do it. Plain and simple.

  • I agree that the game shouldn't have been released in such a sorry state, but that doesn't mean the game is at all bad today. Same goes for games like No Man's Sky. Amazing games. Worth playing today.

  • While I liked the article, I can't help but feel it was basically, "find your dream job" as the overarching message. It did give some pointers of where it could be, but finding those are going to be harder than just landing any job in the current landscape, which is already difficult.

  • Black and white 2 is phenomenal.

  • Can confirm, was a fun little thing. Thanks for that!

  • I think it's the cycle of purging stuff you think you don't want or need only to have to buy it again later that makes them more money

  • Thanks for working on that, got it now.

  • Only since last July. It's Arch btw. I love it, but wifey doesn't understand it and therefore I still have windows. ☹️

  • Tried downloading a book and it's just giving an error saying it failed to download. Book name

  • I think they means it's a federal operation, a honey pot for a government to crack down on piracy.

  • You did ask if it's the best custom ROM. And the other poster did answer that question pretty well.

  • Not 100% sure but you might be able to get them with HakuNeko connecting to Weebcentral. I know they have some webtoons on there. It's free of course and easy enough to download once you figure out how to work HakuNeko. Alternatively just browse Weebcentral to see if it's in there first. Good luck.

  • I second this.

  • Dunno why it seems everyone is misunderstanding your post. It's a simple question. Why all the grief? I'd be interested to know of Lemmy instances that arent federated and where to find them as well.

  • I loved this game when I was younger. I tried compiling this like a month ago, couldn't get it to work. Made me real sad. Though, I don't know what I'm doing so, probably my fault. The game is legendary though, sound design, gameplay, etc. Awesome stuff.

  • Yeah, it is, and always has been about control.

  • Put simply, it's like a translator that knows many of the languages Windows will speak. However, it's not always fluent in every language it might speak. This is what proton does, it translates system calls into Linux, essentially. It almost always will work, specially with Steam games.

In other cases, it's game devs making desicisons to disallow use of Linux. Specifically anti cheat. Not all anticheat is disallowed, but game devs could allow it. They just choose not too.

Most games will run just fine on Linux. I've switched entirely to Linux and said goodbye to those few online anitcheat games that disallow. Most everything works.
