Most non vegans don't think about these things as much as we do and so they won't even notice. If they do, I think that it is a good conversation starter to the actual realities of being vegan, and may make it seem more accessible to them.
I'm working my way through Open Veins of Latin America which goes into this in much more depth. I haven't finished but would recommend, although the reason I haven't finished is because it is a moderately heavy read.
I would not be able to trust an auto translate. Look for someone out there who is adept at it and enlist their help, or a message board if you can find one. You do not want to find out your tattoo is a bad translation after the fact
I think there probably are some things that we could agree are universally disgusting , but it would still be a subjective opinion, just one that no one would argue. What I mean to say is that beauty and ugliness are human constructs, they don't actually exist. It would be kind of pointless to go back and forth with someone countering examples of beauty with examples of ugliness.
