  • Not to mention "these guys aren't real Delta Force, who are cool and good". Fucking liberals.

  • It's already owned by an equity firm and has been since '97.

  • That's my bet, makes him look good assuming he never gets called on it.

  • Yeah, I feel like porky realized this and laser-targeted propaganda at them specifically as a result.

  • It's already owned by Yum Brands, a former Pepsi subsidiary, which also owns KFC and Taco Bell.

  • Makes sense, the article says that the US manufacturers are pulling out of existing factories. There's a lot of capital and workers there, easy win to pull in automakers from other countries.

  • Lol every time

E: Also very cool to know that there's no regulation on this or it would have been uncovered way earlier.

  • What do the arrows mean?

  • Musk, Bezos, and probably a few others we don't know the names of could end world hunger tomorrow if they wanted to. They'd just have to bribe the US government to spend something like $100B per year, which is about 1/10th of the military budget. Every day that they don't is a reminder that the bourgeois are evil.

  • "I believe we should have a weak state, except for the cops and military, which must be omnipresent and as violent as possible!"

    • A very serious person
  • You will take the tram and you will like it

  • Are the games ever on sale for that cheap these days?

Nope, not even close. Part of that is due to them delisting the original "Prepare to Die" Edition and only letting you buy the remaster, which IIRC never goes below like $20.

  • DS1 on the PC was on sale for like $4 a decade ago. The rest is history.

  • It's also presumably possible to set up some sort of profit-sharing scheme whereby the tenant is entitled to some share of the increase in equity, though I've never heard of such a thing being done.

  • Smh what happened to the good old days of shooting a president in the head at the theatre?

  • Manga

Finished Kaguya-Sama: Love is War and the spinoff We Want to Talk About Kaguya-Sama, which is about two unhinged members of the mass media club, one of whom is a Kaguya fangirl while the other draws fan manga shipping Kaguya and Shirogane. They're both pretty solid, obviously the main series is better. I'm honestly surprised how negative the online reaction to the last arc is when it's more or less fine? Really disappointed they're skipping like 80 chapters for the anime adaptation, Ishigami and Miko were robbed.

    Anime

Finally finished Log Horizon S2 by powering through 14 episodes in a single day at 2x speed. Deleted S3 without watching it. Absolute trash. I don't know if there's even a single positive thing I could say about it in retrospect. Taking a break from my backlog to watch some seasonals.

Golden Kamuy Final Season continues to be peak, the Sapporo Beer Factory arc slapped. The constantly shifting allegiances and all these different people trying to use Asirpa to their own ends results in so many characters being fleshed out. And sure, plenty of them are shallow, but they're all quirky weirdos.

Oshi No Ko S3 is kinda meh so far. Aqua's relationship drama is as uninteresting as it is creepy, and Ruby does not have the sauce when it comes to the 5d chess mindgames. Hopefully it improves.

Frieren S2 has been almost entirely the more boring generic fantasy journey stuff, which is fine I guess, but I really long for the first 3 episodes again. The Southern Hero was kinda neat, I guess, but definitely feels like an episodic adventure that will never come up again.

  • How were the sequels? I read Promise of Blood and enjoyed it but then moved on to other stuff instead.

  • From Marx to Mao to Guevara, every single big name commie was a [...] mass murderer

    Reminds me of this
