  • I used to do that but after a while the washing machine got a buildup of foul gunk that leaves little specks of crap sticking to everything you wash. Apparently an occasional hot wash is needed to keep the machine clean.

  • Give me Greenland and I won’t attack anyone else except Cuba! And Mexico! And Columbia! And Canada! Obviously we're not done with Venezuela yet... then there's always Iran....

  • ftfy: Because universal healthcare is socialism and you don’t want billionaires to pay too much taxes.

  • I feel like there's an "over and out" punchline missing here

  • I like how they are just watching him fade like "it's probably for the best"

  • You can't enshittify what's already shit

  • It's worth taking photos of the mundane, the everyday. Your commute to work, your kitchen, the friendly dog you pass every day, the view from your bedroom window. And of course the people you see everyday. These memories actually mean something, they are a part of your life. Much more so than a firework going off or some famous landmark you've seen once, of which there are a million photos all better than yours.

  • I'd get a whole bunch of these and keep a different book on each one, so you could just pick it up and read it. But it'll never work, it's too much trouble to keep them all charged.

  • What would be great is if some of the major newspapers ran a headline like:

The redactions put it beyond reasonable doubt: ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ was ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ children on ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ island. The president is a ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ ⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛⬛ and everybody knows it.

  • Honestly I think this is the way. Every photo or video of trump needs a black square over it

  • Anytime anyone mentions the files she just keeps asking “Pardon Me?"

She's not going deaf. She's just reminding Trump to hold up his end of the bargain

  • Wow, I don't know about you guys, but I've come to the end of my attention span. I guess there was never anything to see there after all, right?

  • "Sugar free" is such a red flag, you know they are going to go crazy with the artificial crap. I try to eat less sugar but the same goes for alternative sweeteners, plus I can't stand the taste of them. I look for "Sugar free" so I know not to buy it, that shit's going to be disgusting.

  • Well, it's true. I never saw a diaper that stopped more than 100% of leaks

  • What seems really off to me is that Firefox has one standout feature that people really love: extensions. You can customize your browser however you want. So it makes sense that if they wanted to integrate AI into their design that it should be done via extensions. They could produce a mozilla-approved pack of extensions which add whatever AI features they want to offer. That way any AI functionality is opt-in, and transparent in the sense that you have a specific feature set for each extension so you kind-of know what you're buying into, rather than having a built-in set of opt-out features that are ill-defined and constantly changing. Such a radical and unnecessary change of their whole design philosophy seems very suspect to me.

  • Old people spent almost all their lives living in a different world, where you could trust and believe in certain things. That world has dissolved just as their brains got too old to adapt to the change. It's hard for everyone to keep up, but for some people it's impossible. My father in law is like that, his smartphone is always full of crap because if he sees a popup advert telling him he needs to install something, he'll do as he's told. He can't tell the difference between an advert and a system message. He grew up in a world where most of the time you could basically trust what people were telling you, especially if it looked official. Modern technology and media has no consideration for such vulnerable people, except for finding ways to exploit them.

  • While many may be tempted to cut the U.S. off as an ally and partner

At this point I think it's more a matter of keeping your friends close, and your enemies closer

  • Oh come on now, they don't really have to do that until stalactites start forming

  • That's an extremely mild response for a WMD. They can bomb the shit out of anyone anywhere at any time and just say they suspected they might be smuggling fentanyl. This is really just carte blanche to murder people at will.

Also attacking or invading other countries is absolutely on the cards, as long as the body of evidence for WMDs is on a par with what was used to invade Iraq.

  • The tooth fairy can go where it wants, and can see in the dark. Why would it need to dig them up?
