  • (As a side note: Vince McMahon sold his company to the same people who run UFC, and then was driven out of the company as the result of numerous scandals. He no longer has any ties to WWE, outside of ownership of about 3% of common, non-voting stock.)

I didn’t know that. Funny how the UFC owner is also in Trump’s inner circle.

  • Remember, Trumps employs the wife of and is personal friend of Vince McMahon, the owner of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).

This does look an awful lot like wrestling drama.

  • Every hardwood floor installer I’ve talked to recommended NOT using Murphys Oil Soap. The reason they gave was that it leaves a thin film which builds up over time. When it comes time to refinish the floor, that film makes it difficult and more expensive.

  • Depends on the material. I wouldn’t use that on hardwood floors, for example.

Most of the work is mechanical. Soap/alkalis help with grease/oils by making them mix in water. Dirt particles will stick to oils and go along. Acids will break up minerals, kill fungus/mildew and deodorize.

    • Dirty, greasy areas: alkalis
    • Mineral deposits, areas that have biofilms, mold, mildew: acids

All purpose: a little of both

Thrown a couple drops of Dawn* in your mix for an all purpose cleaner. Just be careful where you use it. Leave out the acids for more delicate surfaces.

*I don’t mean to push certain brands but Dawn is cheap and good at what it does.

  • I once shit talked to coworkers about another coworker/supervisor. Except, by accident, I sent it to the coworker/supervisor.

    Good times.

  • He interned at the Heritage Foundation.

I wouldn’t rule out “favors” being exchanged.

  • Looks like the big crypto exchanges allow you to borrow/short sell.

There are crypto companies that are publicly traded as well as crypto ETFs. You could short sell those.

Personally,I wouldn’t risk it with how crazy crypto is. It’s seems way too easy to manipulate.

  • Looks good and healthy. I would want some sauce or pickles.

  • There’s no such thing as an “unmarked crosswalk” in Virginia. Pedestrians can legally cross at “marked crosswalks” and intersections if there are no marked crosswalks.

The difference is that drivers are legally required to stop at marked crosswalks. This is not an “unmarked crosswalk. It’s just an intersection.

  • There doesn’t need to be a victim but it’s actually fairly dangerous. Crosswalks typically, and maybe by law/code, have signage ahead of the crosswalk to warn drivers.

This could make things more dangerous for pedestrians by giving them false trust that this crosswalk is signed and known to drivers that frequent the route.

I generally approve of this kind of vigilante civil engineering. But, safety should be taken into account so I’m a bit torn.

Either way, it’s civil disobedience which comes with a potential cost. It has worked by drawing more attention to the issue and nobody got hurt. Hopefully, they get off with a slap on the wrist.

  • Yes. They already do this to some states in the USA that have similar laws.

VPNs get around this just fine.

  • Or, maybe, USS Jim Beam.

  • I’m glad Fred Rogers didn’t live to see all of this.

  • And, It’s not even unique.

On the iOS App Store, for example, there is:

    • MyCOMAP
    • COMAP
    • ComAp Helpcentre
    • MYCOMAP BALANCING
    • and two apps from a company named COMAP S.A.
  • If true, what does this say about the data on which it was trained?

  • That doesn’t make homeopathic medicine “generally still true”.

    You’re just adding more fraud.

Out of curiosity, what’s an example of something that is sold as homeopathic that is an effective medication? And why isn’t it approved as a medication?

  • This is great that they’re forking but do that have to continue the OSS tradition of terrible app names?

  • 7th grade is usually 12 or 13 but judging by this kid’s behavior could be as high as 17.
