  • I'm on bazzite and use limo to mod x4. It handles the uri from nexus no problem. Have you looked at the limo wiki? It specifically covers skyrim.

  • I'm currently in college and love educational information in any form. Its always helpful for me to view multiple explanations. Sometimes it can fill in blanks, or give a better understanding. Some of my favorites:

    I live in a country with very expensive education costs. If you're poor you can almost forget about higher education. So the more free resources available, the better IMO. I think you just have to find the medium you enjoy creating on.

But I could never play games with those awful hjkl keys for navigation, I hate them. Also, I don't have to memorize nano. All the key combos are listed on the bottom. So it requires less mental load.

  • Ha, I just setup a git repo for my dfhack scripts. On an unrelated note. I just had a giant Cyclops attack my fort and I couldn't get my gate closed in time. So a lone marksdwarf beat it with it's Iron crossbow until backup could arrive lol

  • You can use ffmpeg or handbrake. They would allow you to edit any video (remove sections). Though it can be slow if you have an older machine.

  • UBlue is a tool the fedora team created to build immutable distros in a container. This is a list of official distros created by it. If you've seen Bazzite it was also created with UBlue.

    Immutable distro just means the root filesystem is mounted read-only. So when you do updates, they create another image of your filesystem with the updates applied. Then you have to boot into the new filesystem. This is called an atomic upgrade. So if something is broken, you reload your last image and everything is fine.

  • Variety is the spice of life. I've used Slackware, Arch, Gentoo, Fedora, Nix, been on Debian the last few years. Been looking at setting up my own UBlue image. I really like the immutable thing. Do whatever makes you happy..

  • So there's another thing called soy curls, which are similar to tvp. They come in a bunch of different shapes. Which can be handy for emulating different meat cuts. Just rehydrate them in whatever kinda broth/stock you want beef, chicken, veggie. I love to fry up an onion, and a poblano then drop in my tvp/curls. Add your favorite taco spices and enjoy some delicious tacos.
