8·3 months agoI don’t think you should worry overly much about it. The ranking was for Markdown support, not total app quality, and as you’ve said, the current level of Markdown support is a design decision based on available resources. You don’t need full Markdown support to be a good app, and full Markdown support doesn’t, on its own, make an app good. The ratings post is basically just the same as a benchmark, ranking things according to one specific quality while ignoring all others.
1·3 months agoI don’t understand why the author thinks this is something new. Russia has been doing the same horrific things to Ukraine for two years and Westerners are still constantly finding reasons not to care. That’s not to mention Sudan, Tigray, and Xinjiang. Maybe it’s just too horrifying for him to realize that the Western world doesn’t care about genocides and hasn’t for decades.
