Yeah, it’s looking like I’ll wait another year and take a look another look at production vehicles. I’m probably in way over my head thinking about conversion.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I’m US based. Sorry for making y’all assume.

I also like the idea of converting, but the quotes I got are from a few years ago. I should probably check again and see if there are new kit options. On top of the kit cost is finding a local shop that can handle the conversion. I’ll keep exploring that route.

That’s no coincidence. Metalocalypse just dropped the whole season 1 on youtube and while watching I realized that my friend’s game character bears a resemblance.
An ancient Wacom Intuos 3. Still works pretty well… the only thing I haven’t figured out yet is how to map the 2 touch slider pads to something like opacity.

I wouldn’t say that in earshot of Atticus. He may not know what a yeti is, but he’s likely to take offense.

That’s exactly what I based my character on, glad to hear it’s a good likeness.

In Alaska, the train trip from Anchorage to Talkeetna is pretty darn beautiful.

Extra shoutout to the book The Long Ships by Frans G Bengtsson, an amazing adventure comedy around the christianization of the Vikings.
Thank you both, I’m starting to get it.
Thank you! I’ll start there and check that I can easily access the logs.
I’ll give it a look. No real reason for fail2ban specifically, it’s just often mentioned as an easy process for beginners.
I’m still not sure what this means. Run fail2ban on the router or on each VM? Caddy does have a fail2ban module if it makes more sense to run there?

It could certainly be written better to more clearly state this, but I believe the intent is to only limit the data requested and stored for the purpose of age verification. This should not impact data collected or retained for other purposes.

You’ve probably already discovered it, but Q Hayashida has a newish manga series out called Dai Dark that scratches the same itch.

While we could always argue over what is horror vs something with horror elements, I think these are some of my faves:

It’ll be painful, but I recommend moving away from that .edu address. Universities are notorious for causing headaches for grads trying to access their .edu addresses in the long run. Register your own domain, create an email under that domain, then use whatever email client you choose.
Once you’re aware of the concept of Chekhov’s gun, you start to instinctively spot devices that are meant to be called back later in the script and subconsciously anticipate them, making it a Pavlov-Chekhov gun.
But if the initial introduction of the Pavlov-Chekhov gun is too forced/obvious, you might feel compelled to turn off such a predictable movie before the device is recalled and you’ll never know if it was actually brought back. Maybe it was, maybe it wasn’t, maybe it exists in an unobserved quantum state… a Schrödinger-Pavlov-Chekhov gun.
