  • What I'd assume they would do with minimal information is have an agent purchase a subscription at an intermediary country and block all known servers at the ISP level by constantly switching and logging. This is just off the top of my head though.

  • This one's good for different reasons. It's warmer, more realist, and the little lines on his shirt feel playful. If you pick this one up again the warmth and playfulness are great themes to expound on.

    I think the eyes make him look vampiric because of the slightly yellow tone and slightly upturned lower eyelids...though the crimson tinges in his hair and deep contrast in his outfit might be part of it 😂 The face shadows too

  • Yeah the weapon-switching is a bit awkward but the racing combined with the combat make it absolutely beautiful. Doing it all at ridiculous speeds makes it that much more thrilling. There's few video games that aren't VR that can make you sweat but that's absolutely one of them.

  • I honestly think he's like 3 cheeseburgers away from a coronary. Whether that does him in or not remains to be seen, but he's very visibly unhealthy, and has been looking worse and worse each week. At some point all the medical technology and wealth in the world becomes meaningless. Bodies are complex systems and effects can cascade: a heart attack might be fixable but surgeries to fix it might be fatal, especially to someone as old and unhealthy as he is.

  • If motorcycles are your jam then there's Road Redemption on Steam. It's like Mario Kart but much more brutal, with guns, swords (and decapitations), and blunt weapons (to knock helmets off to pave way for decapitations).

    Edit: forgot to mention, the game display artwork shows a cop about to get nailed with a nailbat. Also I think you get extra points for getting cops. Just saying.

  • I have to imagine it has to do with identification. Unless you're at the top of the social order, you're going to identify with the "underdog" to some extent, but few will identify with the powerful. Even at the higher echelons, there's still plenty of people with more power, which can lead one to the false assumption of one's own downtrodden status: hence the difficulty of many white-presenting people to recognize their own privilege, even when it becomes increasingly obvious when bolstered by wealth.

  • Huh. Well now I have to do what I always do when confused by confounding situations: Go do some reading. It's hard for me to conceptualize what goes into someone's head to produce such a dissonant view, but it takes all types I guess. Maybe it's incomplete propagandization? Like genetic co-dominance but applied to a worldview.
