  • Yes and no,no because if u adding rating then someshow should be moderation of rating cause any random competitor app create a lot fake account and make fake downvotes to ur app and promote their own ,everything as in modern business done,so fdroid platform would need hire or put voluunter which would moderate it all and it heavy work

  • It works in a container under the hood. You can separate two profiles: one personal, and the other for everything else. When you install apps from Google Play, they are also installed in this container with Google services.

    A cool thing is that Google services run in user space, like regular apps, and don’t have the elevated permissions they usually have on standard Android, where they operate almost as root with hundreds of permissions. This means you can delete them anytime, just like any other app.

    1. I agree mostly yeah it should be by default(but also depends from usecase too if we installing distro as many people doing on old hardware it would even more slow PC)
    2. Copy pasting would damage mac os, windows including too so it's just human factor
    3. Wayland is protocol not server and to implement full stack u need a lot resources and not small team meanwhile x11 it's ready to go graphical server universal one
    4. About this some distros installing systemd-boot if installer detecting efi variables if legacy system it installing grub.

    All depends from threat surface attack and what we are trying to defend.

  • Many cheap chinese web cameras from non know brands,really problematic to make work printers which older from 2015 for example canon ,Lexmark cause they use proprietary communication protocols and thus drivers for inux or exist in shitty state which would not work on modern system but worked on Ubuntu from 2012 or not driver not exist at all and so on other very specific type of devices
