  • “Newsom is worse than Hitler”

Lmao, yea I'm not touching that one

    candidates other people pick

Should I take this to mean that you've selected Newsom before he or anybody else has actually announced? Who has 'picked' a candidate at this point?

What I don't see in this comment is an actual defense of Newsom by any sort of merit, which is about as expected. People criticizing Newsom (or any other presumptive candidate at this point) for his policy positions are sending signals that there's a hole in the presumptive candidate pool that someone can fill. If someone were to actually announce their candidacy, they'd have a pretty clear lane to pick that Newsom has left open (but actually maybe not, since he himself can't seem to pick a lane on just about any issue, and is instead just swerving back and forth across the entire field). I think AOC would be a decent pick to fill that lane, even if I have my apprehensions, but she hasn't announced yet either.

Because you’re using “libs” I’m assuming you’re not American?

    Are you new here?

  • Agitating for better policies is not "nothing" no matter how much you're bothered by it.

edit: I'm also fascinated by this commentary because for a year+ leftists and progressives were told not to criticize Biden because it was "too close to an election", and now we're being told by the same people that not to criticize any potential candidate at any time, or else we're hurting the democrats' chances in 2 and a half years.

It's like libs have learned absolutely nothing from blithely accepting a milquetoast, unpopular moderate shitbag as their candidate and getting their asses handed to them for it.

  • I wish I could tell if 'liberate' was being used facetiously or not

  • The civil rights movement didnt just organize grass-roots, they essentially held a gun to the head of the democratic party

They actively worked against the DNC in most cases, since they were famously reluctant to embrace it

  • I dont often like to link to music videos in response to political news but this one is a little on the nose

Upon a missile rode the LordRoaring, "Justice is the sword"He was melting off the faces of the damned\

Don't you know atomic powerIs just God's celestial shower? There are those that He has chosenAnd those that He has notThere are many who will dieIn the Lord's plan by and byBut it won't be you or IThanks to The Great Caucasian God\

  • Acknowledging the failures of the democratic system is by definition an acknowledgement of the lack of agency in voters

You can't both acknowledge FPTP and deny it as voter disenfranchisement - they are one in the same.

  • DNC primaries are nothing more than a livestock auction for donors. Libs will cry a big game about FPTP election systems and our need to overturn CU, but will ignore any of those major systemic contradictions when it happens to affirm their worldview

  • The line item in question is apparently only $61k lmao

  • *and corrected

  • A mod should sticky a correction to this post if the OP doesnt make an edit themselves

Reports that ICE purchased tomahawk missiles have since been corrected to have likely been a clerical error on an order form. OP themselves linked to reporting to this error in a comment below

  • Yup, they are definitely already inflated, but I wouldn't wait for them to come back down - i'm not sure they will.

  • Yea, I mean it's definitely already pretty bad, but I just don't think it's coming back down - at least not soon.

If you can afford it still, I wouldn't wait.

  • It took a lot in me not to brag about my luck with buying used HHDs for home use.

Not to be 'that guy', but with how things are trending I feel like now is the time to make your homelab if you want one and haven't taken the dive already.

Seems like there's a growing chorus of tech CEOs affirming plans to transition consumers to cloud-based personal computing - component prices probably wont be bouncing back anytime soon.

  • Lmao

    'It's not electoralism'

proceeds to describe an electoralist perspective

Good luck with the communist militia

  • "I wanted d party to win" is still very much being electoralist, I'm sorry to say

You've also repeatedly used the word 'neoliberal' when 'liberal' would be more accurate. Kindly fuck off

  • Anarchism views hierarchy as inherent in both parties - those comments are rulebreaking because they ignore that distinction.

You can disagree with that analysis, but You can't wield it like a cudgel in an anarchist space.

There arent any rules against claiming the anarchist label, but when there's this much of a disconnect it becomes pretty hard to recognize it as legitimate

  • Petition to amend rule 7 to read 'dont be an electoralist twat' so that it's even more insulting to turbolibs

I dont think You're the type of anarchist You believe Yourself to be, if this rule offends You.

  • So are people who agree with leftist policies but not with right-wing liberal democrats.

  • I think you might be working with a different definition of 'left'
