  • Alex Jones continues to be correct about the "what" and utterly wrong about the "who."

  • Lots of chuds in the UK..

  • They do. The idea is to target people who don't have other options. Say you don't have a car and this is the only grocery store you can easily get to.

  • Yes I think they learned about CBP playing with lasers possibly after the fact. FAA told CBP to stop, CBP said "no" so the FAA issued a complete airspace shutdown.

  • People here are blaming racism and Obama and that is part of it, but another bigger factor is 2008 is the year neoliberalism died. And unlike in 1932 there wasn't any reckoning with it, holding anyone to blame or charting a positive vision for what might replace it. Obamaism ended up being a bunch of empty platitudes and the attempt to just bandage things up and keep rolling. Bernie tried to name perpetrators and chart a positive vision (back to the 1930s at least) but he was ratfucked. So ever since we've been living in this hypernormal world where everything sucks, everything's getting worse, nobody believes in anything and an increasingly fringe set up carnival barkers are the only people with any resonance.

  • Tomorrow's headline: Google announces layoff of 1000 employees.

  • Nature is healing

  • Elon had similar PR until he fired them for not "keeping it real."

  • You could probably just buy Stellantis for a fiver. A lot of the Ontario factories are theirs anyway. You could even let Bombardier run it and there's no way they can do worse than the way it's currently being run.

  • "It's at 90 PSI and is 80 percent air, 15 percent water, and 5 percent oil,"

Something's seriously wrong with the air system then, and it will contaminate all their work and compromise the welds. Water is a particularly pernicious contaminant in welding because it causes hydrogen in the weld that will make it brittle and crack.

Welding shops have to be CLEAN. There are some welding processes that can work ok with dirty metal (SMAW with some electrode types) but these only work on mild steel, and these processes really aren't used in a shop or production setup, more for field work.

  • The United States Department of Homeland Security labeled on Wednesday the incident that took place in Minnesota as “an act of domestic terrorism.”

Sounds like they describe the incident accurately for once, although I would point out that this is just one sub-incident of a wider campaign of "blue terror" being waged by Trump's brownshirts against the American people.

  • It's always the ones you most suspect.

  • FWIW this isn't any more absurd than the original weapons of mass destruction.

For the young ones: Bush wanted us to believe that Saddam was trying to get nuclear weapons. The only problem is: he wasn't. But Saddam had used chemical weapons during the Iran/Iraq war. So Bush decided to equate chemical and nuclear weapons. And thus the "weapons of mass destruction" were born. What is a weapon of mass destruction? Anything Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld wants it to be!

  • Carney seems incredibly driven to implement the Starmer plan, which has gone just great in the UK. WTF is wrong with the commonwealth left?

  • There's been a big push by a group called American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators to ban Kei trucks in the USA. Many states DMVs, who are lobbied by this organization, have been choosing administratively to retroactively revoke people's registrations for these vehicles.

  • I got downvoted to hell every time I pointed out he's a globalist banker. I even had someone condescendly "explain" that he's a central banker which is somehow better

  • for some reason

The linguistics research that Chomsky and Marvin Minsky were doing was the AI craze of their day. The place they were working was called the "MIT AI Lab". It was funded by the department of defense. Not hard to wonder why an Israeli agent would be interested in their work.

  • I remember being really excited about Bill Foster winning originally. I thought having a scientist in government would be a big win. Turns out scientists can also be tools.
