  • The stock broker is a genuinely nice guy, they realize they are soul mates and he quits his job to be a house husband so she can chase her dreams and make an indie game on steam. Coincidentally it has no AI and blows up, and they both get to retire and live off the earnings. Sorry, what were we talking about again?

  • I also just passed! Doing my first flight with my "work" drone tomorrow morning, wind allowing. I have a "new" dji air 3s that I promised myself I wouldn't fly until I passed, as motivation haha. Have you found work other than real estate or are you using it exclusively with that?

    I don't have a solid game plan for work, but I plan on doing all sorts of things like mapping, scanning, real estate and independent photo/video. I have a full time job so my first order of business is to build up a portfolio of each of those types of work myself with no clients, just to prove I can. Then I'll find clients on my days off.

  • It’s inexplicable to me. Why are folks ignoring Battlemage and AMD 9000 series when they’re so good?

    Because the 2022 GPU amd 7900xtx has better raw performance than the 9000 series, and I'm pissed off they didn't try to one-up themselves in the high-end market. I'm not buying a new Nvidia card but I'm not buying a 9000 series either because it feels like I'm paying for a sub-par GPU compared to what they're capable of.

  • back in the day people would download more ram and put it on giant tape-based backup systems. Big companies started downloading massive amounts of high quality ram this way. This created a ram shortage, and companies like corsair are now using their massive reserves of downloaded ram and filling empty ram sticks with them and making lots of money. That's why ram is so expensive today. Any ram you can download today is low quality ram, and the only high quality ram can be had on physical sticks, which were filled by the companies with ram reserves. 1969 was the peak of the ram harvesting, so you'll probably get some really great ram if it came from that year.
