    I get what you're saying, but that's exactly the opposite of what the media is doing. They are telling the public she wasn't like them. That she wasn't Christian, she was a liberal rioter with three children by two men and her lesbian lover beside her in the car when she was out maliciously running over law enforcement in her SUV. Bootlicking Maga chuds with hot jelly in their skulls don't need much to know a person was evil and deserved to be put down, and so for headlines like this the writers know exactly what they're doing; boiling this woman's entire life into one word that shows she's Not Like Us^TM

    1. A vehicle is coming towards you. Do you a) step slightly to the side, or b) pull out a gun and shoot them four times in the face? If the answer isn't obvious to you then you're a psychopath!
    2. What would she get for leaving her vehicle? ICE disappears people! If you're interacting with them it's already too late. As awful, terrible, horrifying as this is, it was probably a better way to go out than what would be waiting for her in their concentration camps. I'd be panicked trying to gtfo of there, too.

    City officials are expected to speak at 12:15 p.m.

    The ICE statement says, in part:

    “Today, ICE officers in Minneapolis were conducting targeted operations when rioters began blocking ICE officers and one of these violent rioters weaponized her vehicle, attempting to run over our law enforcement officers in an attempt to kill them—an act of domestic terrorism.

    “An ICE officer, fearing for his life, the lives of his fellow law enforcement and the safety of the public, fired defensive shots.

    “He used his training and saved his own life and that of his fellow officers.

    “The alleged perpetrator was hit and is deceased. Thankfully, the ICE officers who were hurt are expected to make full recoveries.”

  • Spectrum is out of control on the physical spam front, too. I swear I have something from them at least every week if not more. Letters, plastic postcards, fake gift cards, they really are relentless. And I have gigabit fiber, there's no world where I'm switching from that to Spectrum, but they keep throwing money away marketing to my trash can.

    What do you think is shallow about their attempts at being progressive? Having multiple POC and LGBTQ characters, including a married couple seems like the next logical step for the series and is still fairly progressive for a mainstream sci-fi series. Even The Orville, which I've heard people say is better than nutrek, is barely as progressive as even TNG. What did they do wrong with these characters? Genuinely. My main issue with nutrek is the melodrama. So many times while watching Discovery my wife and I would be saying to the screen "You're all about to die, you can hug cry and talk later!"
