Does that mean you can't fabricate an ice sculpture out of ice or a snowman out of snow?
I think the "finished product" probably should be at whatever temperature we associate with that thing as a "finished product". "a pizza", for example, would be warm - assuming the caster had the skills to make a good pizza. Some objects have a temperature as part of their essence of being "that thing" and if you change them to be room temperature, then they're no longer that thing.
As for "the caster needs to be a proficient chef" we're covered. Konsi is a proficient chef. Personally, I wouldn't allow this for a caster without cook's utensils. (they could make sandwiches though)
As always, check with your DM. People are going to interpret this differently.
What is "one object"? A proper suit of platemail is like 30 objects, the helm is a different object to the breastplate, and that is a different object to the left sabaton. Such a ruling could cause a lot of table arguments.
Why is "a banquet" different to "a suit of platemail" in this regard? They're both comprised of several smaller components that could individually be described as objects?
The spell doesn't explicitly say "you can only make one object" it repeatedly, and irresponsibly careens wildly from using singular examples, and using plurals. The first line of the spell text is "You convert raw materials into products of the same material." (plural) It then gives examples of "a bridge, a rope, clothes" (singular, singular, plural).
I don't see a sage advice on this issue specifically but Crawford has answered "can you make a full set of artisans tools with a casting of fabricate" with yes - and most sets of tools aren't "one object" either...
Remember to check creative uses of your spells with your DM. Your DM is at risk and your DM can go down as well as up, and you may not get back all the DM that you put in.
I've been noticing that about 50% of images in this community aren't loading for me, I assume it's a server-end problem with uploaded files?
I've been seeing that images that are linked to external sources seem to work fine - at least for me. The comics I've been posting have been external links to my own webhosting/site whereas the commented images are direct uploads (usually because they're screen grabs or files I don't host myself directly.)
I'm not sure there's much I can do about this except suggest flushing your cache to force a reload, or connecting with a different app.
There were a lot of good guesses for what the spell was going to be - and a great many of those spells were better choices than this one - Spirit Guardians, for example, would probably wipe the fight (although it'd risk killing someone.)
So, if lower level spells might be better here, why is Konsi summoning an angel?
Well... remember that this is a downtime period, not a day of adventuring. On top of that, Konsi spent the morning preparing her spell list for dating. She doesn't have many combat spells prepared at all.
Summon Celestial isn't the most efficient combat spell, but it is versatile - when you can summon a 12ft tall flying angel, you can solve a lot of problems as well as combat - so the spell made the cut.
Our version of Forgotten Realms that we run in our campaign is somewhat based off expanding official setting information. This is implied by official setting, but I expanded it a bit. (This is how Konsi tells it.)
Maglubiyet created goblins because he was bored with Toril and wanted some entertainment, originally creating them much in his own image. They were entertaining for a while, but when they started building communities and growing beyond his expectations he became fearful - his creation had something he wasn't prepared to face: Potential. He envisioned a future where they could grow powerful enough to threaten him, and in his paranoia, he decided to pull the plug.
The other gods, seeing the goblins grow and shape the world were intrigued by this, and began to create their own races to populate the world too, some out of curiosity, some out of a desire for power - the worship that Maglubiyet was receiving had been feeding him and helping him grow in strength. With so many mortals on Toril, intermingling and sharing experiences, it became impossible for Maglubiyet to simply "undo" his creation, to many other minds and souls shared memories and experiences of them, so he was left with a creation he feared, and could not control.
Maglubiyet cursed the goblin people, giving them every disadvantage he could think of - to prevent them from growing to reach their potential, and to protect himself from them. He made them stunted and ugly and mean, he made them paranoid and greedy, he did everything he could to make sure goblins would not band together and explore their potential, and that nobody else would like them.
In doing this, he cut them off from the other gods, claiming all of their souls and worship for himself - he then made priests to spread his teaching, that all other gods were false, and that only he was worthy of worship, the priests taught goblins behaviours and rules that served to keep them from ever attaining anything beyond their meager survival - and in return, the priests were promised a slightly better lot in their afterlife. Not a good lot, just not as bad as the others.
In FR it's canon that "goblins only worship Maglubiyet" - in our game, if a goblin were to pray to another god, they'd be ignored, gods other than Maglubiyet actively ignore the lives and prayers of goblins... basically they're "not worth the effort". Tymora's attention to Konsi is the start of something new, a change to that status-quo.
So... it's legitimately possible that Sune was not aware of this specific romance without having it drawn to her attention directly. Tymora wants the other gods (at least the ones she likes) to get on her bandwagon, and "oh my goblin is doing a thing that another god would approve of" is a good opportunity to do that.
I got one Sune character, a divine soul sorcerer. Here they are.
Their personality is basically Andrea Rhodea from FF7R - "be true to yourself and that's the most beautiful thing you can be", and then a lot of flirting with everything.
I am happy to answer - I'm straight and cis, and happily together with someone,
I have a lot of LGBTQ+ friends in real life - in no small factor influenced by where I went to university, where I live, and the hobbies I have.
I do believe that more representation in media would be good for everyone. Familiarity is the greatest weapon against bigotry. It's easy for people to hate an entire demographic they've never met - much harder if you know a couple and you see they're just normal people like everyone else.
But in this case, no such lofty ideals, it's purely happenstance. In an early session, I ended up needing to answer the question of Konsi's preferences, and I just picked randomly.
That's okay, I'm just a little exasperated haha
