MJ12 Detachment Agent

  • I Am Not A Lawyer, this is (used to be?) a pretty common internet acronym.

  • Wait there is a space fast and furious?

I only watched the first 2 movies back in the day. They were OK, but I never felt the need to watch them again (or the desire to watch the later ones).

  • I am not the dev, just sharing.

IANAL, but IMO there is no confusion between an MMO guild management game and a marvel comic book concept. But then again, I would never trust an American court in such situations.

  • Congrats on the 365!

I mostly play indie games, so it's fun to see some of the bigger titles and get some brief commentary!

  • The comment never said that. It stated that the Lemmy devs support russian genocidal imperialism, which is true.

Don't get me wrong, I recognize that using Lemmy is not the same thing as supporting tankie roaches, but my point stands.

  • How so?

I used to partake in r/europe 3-4 years ago, I didn't see a large amount of european far-right polemics.

  • A reply to the post:

Thanks for the link! I heard the devs of Lemmy, on the other hand, censor comments opposed to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. So I'm much more interested in trying Piefed.

    It's so true though!

  • Thanks for sharing!

The Swedish GBA ad campaign is very unique!

  • I am biased, but an Underground 3 (with no MTX) with a well written storyline but with lots additional open world gameplay would be a return to form for NFS.

  • Not a discord server, but we have a (moderately active) cozygames community on the Threadiverse:

    !cozygames@lemmy.world

  • I will admit, your recommendation makes me want to play Rimworld with he new DLCs. :)

Sounds like there is a lot of cool new stuff.

  • Tumblr is still around?

  • I played the base game a lot (many hundreds of hours, also before it was released on Steam). I think I've only tried the royalty DLC.

On one hand I want to get back into Rimworld, on the other hand the mechanics from all the DLCs seem overwhelming.

  • It's got a top-down CRPG view (similar to the Fallout 1/2), but Avernum: Escape from the Pit might fit thematically.

You end up in an underground fantasy world where "undesirables" are sent to by a corrupt empire.

Another option would be Underrail. Another top down CRPG, this time based in a post-apocalytic world where everyone lives underground. The world building is top notch and the combat is very well developed with lots of choices (it's a also IMO a hard game). While the world building is strong, the writing (characters and their motivations) is rather weak.

  • I had to read more than once to realise it is not a game about WinRAR.

I had the same issue. I was actually genuinely interested about how a wargame was made about WinRAR.

I can understand a business tycoon game where you have to develop a compression/archive software company. Very, very nerdy, but there is a logic here.

A wargame about WinRAR? That's a whole different level.

  • I will add that as per the lore of the game, the Romans discovered steam power and started to colonize the new world. Rather unique I must say.

  • For sure, I am just curious. Not to lecture others, for my own knowledge. :)

I see where you are coming from, but as someone who speaks several other languages, I would say there can be benefits to lanagauge rules.

  • Didn't mean to imply you can't, I was just curious about the formal rules for the word.

And it seems "impacted" can be used in the sense of "affected".

    I am confused :)

  • Just a quick web search; the first few results which linked to dictionary style resources.

    Now I am confused. :)
