  • Agreed

I've seen arrest (booking) records going back 20 years or more online - on the police department's own website. Mostly in Florida because their laws are way more lax than other states.

  • Also when I go to move the vent, "you can turn the fan down if you'd like" - said while turning the fan down. And now I'm too hot...

  • It depends. If you want a security clearance you're probably fucked. But then I guess if you're protesting a war you probably don't care to have the type of job that requires a security clearance.

Also since a lot of arrest records are easily found online, for free, with no login (some states more than others), employers are bound to find it even if it's unethical (or illegal) to search that way.

  • Should we call it Educare or Educaid?

  • Interesting. I was taught that if the punctuation was in the quote, put it within the quotation marks. Otherwise I was to put it outside the marks. (American)

  • I know it's hard. Which is why I went off grid for a week or two and my partner set it up for me.

  • A child advocacy center has specially trained staff (therapists) who do forensic interviews and provide therapy, mainly to kids enduring the aftermath of abuse and neglect. They work closely with the police and the prosecutor to get the case resolved and many also provide therapy dogs to go to court with the kids.

I haven't heard of them interviewing a kid suspected of a crime but perhaps it is their protocol for a kid this young.

  • They want you to try the updated fiber optic connection

  • I have multiple

    • Microsoft ToDo
    • Clickup
    • A discord channel
    • Joplin

And I also use pen and paper

I use them all. Don't ask me why I can't stick with one, because I don't know. But my system works.

  • Yes. IIRC it's one reason video conferencing is so exhausting

  • This is great. It's not perfect, but it's great. It feels like an impossible task but it feels more possible with a structure like this.

  • Idk how I feel about this whole thing. We had the bundle for a while and then they added another standalone Hulu subscription on top. And tried to convince us that's what we wanted/asked for.

I don't even want to pay for one subscription, let alone twice for the same one.

  • So good. Better in ranch and with a side of texas cheese fries (which are better than regular cheese fries), also with ranch.

Followed by pizza, which you also have with ranch.

  • This is only related because it's for the rich, but I was watching a show the other day and apparently there exists a £21,000 TACO.

It didn't even look good tbh.

  • I did this once. I ended up putting the drive in a desk and forgetting about it for awhile.

A few years later I found a folded up piece of paper in a jewelry box (I don't wear jewelry).

It had my password written on it and somehow I remembered where I had put the drive.

    We lived happily ever after.

  • This is great, thank you

  • Honestly it kind of makes me wonder who I am trusting to serve me safe mushrooms.

I guess I always assume food I get from a store (or restaurant) is safe (unless it's expired or has other obvious issues). And like, most foods have brand recognition of some sort (which may or may not mean anything). But I couldn't tell you a single company that harvests and sells mushrooms. I mean the blue container makes me feel safe (???) but like...I don't even know if that's a marketing thing or just what every company does.

Anyway now I am going to look all of this up.

  • Probably equally as confident as the people commenting in Facebook groups

Although at least when asking in a group like that you will probably get a bunch of different answers, which should sow some doubt, as opposed to only getting one answer
