  • Question (for anyone who knows the answer), lots of universities and other orgs get federal money. Could this make first amendment more applicable?

  • You should definitely ask! Worst they can say is no :)

  • Not only does my local library have a maker space, but there is also a local FB group where people lend their tools and other things (like cooking supplies)

  • Haha thank you! I created it in college during one of my chemistry courses. We were using it for some experiment (I assume, I don't remember at this point lol). Anyway at that point in time I made a few usernames and passwords that were fun chemistry stuff.

The reason I was interested in it was because of the connection with acetaminophen (you may have learned that acetaminophen is a metabolite of acetanilide).

Very cool stuff. Thanks for asking! Made my day :)

  • I once knew someone who got locked in.

I'm not sure how long they were in for but by the time I learned about it they were $75k+ in.

They met on some app that I can't remember what it was called. One of the weird ones that was in the news. Some sort of messaging app.

Anyway, the person I knew was some sort of computery accountant type person (not sure exactly what they did just know it involved both lol) so I was shocked that they fell for it.

They asked me to help them so I tried but they went right back to it. What's crazy is the person scamming them gave them access to an account that had like $1M in it. So I'm not sure why they believed the person needed money?? So weird.

My tip is: do not give anyone money. Ever.

  • Thanks!

    • that all high school kids (in my area) take before graduating (to give recruiters more ammo when they harass speak with the kids during gym class a few months later)
  • I used to do surveys as a CEO of a megacorp making lots of money

Turns out they give more money to you if you're already rich...(probably because rich people don't really do that stuff so they want more of their data)

  • It depends on who you ask tbh. I looked this up a while back* (but less than a year ago) and science basically said that water + scrubbing certain produce is fine and recommended, and adding anything else doesn't really do much. I'll try to find the article I read.

*Just wanted to add that the reason I looked it up was because of a post my friend made on Facebook asking people how they prep their produce (and chicken) - way too many people said they do soap and water....

Edit: here is a guide from science from 2010 (PDF WARNING)

Edit 2: here is a guide in more detail

  • How do I do the backup for Aegis? I looked at it and it's set up but then at the bottom it says no backups have been made 🤔

  • Idk I spent the entire billion in my head the other day and got quite mad when I realized I wouldn't even get half of it.

  • I don't know if I want to know more about this second person... I'm gonna go with not

Edit: i shouldn't have scrolled further

  • I'm not sure what the very first one was, but I think the one I used most as a kid was this one or something similar (family computer):

I don't remember my first laptop but I got it in 2010ish around the end of school.

My first cell phone was from Cingulair in 2004 or 2005? A black flip phone. No idea of anything else about it, except that I ran up the texting bill and it had an internet button right on the keypad which I was constantly hitting on accident. That's probably how I developed anxiety now that I think about it.

My first smartphone was a Nokia Windows phone. Looks like Lumia is what it was called...maybe the 520? Also black. I got that around 10 years ago. I didn't even want it and I've always regretted it because that was when I really started getting attached to my phone. All these apps and stuff...yuck

  • I turned it off a long time ago when it started replacing entire sentences. So annoying!!

I still have the suggestions on but I might turn that off too because it keeps suggesting words in other languages even though I'm on the English keyboard and don't know much in any other language (and the only other keyboard I have is the Spanish one).

Also the dictionary doesn't have a shit ton of common words in it for some reason, so if I can't think of the proper spelling I have to look it up anyway. Which is also annoying because search engines suck and I never have a hard copy handy.

  • Yes, yet people get away with this all the time. Even if the killer gets caught, loyalty can be enough to keep them quiet.

Think about all the people that Putin has "probably" had killed. And the assassinations by the CIA and other intelligence agencies throughout the world.

Here are the notable hitmen that we know about: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_contract_killers_and_hitmen

  • We've been lucky with ours as well. We unfortunately have some sort of infestation in our house but at least they don't sting us.

  • Tbh it doesn't even have to be boeing who did it. Boeing is important to the government (actually multiple governments) and it's not exactly a stretch to consider said governments are involved.

Also if we go with thinking boeing did do it, look at almost any organized crime related murder.

Or some combination of the two.

People have been killed for far, far less. And there are a lot of people who will hurt other people purely for revenge, regardless of any other factor.

The point is, I don't think it's as much of a stretch as you seem to think.

  • 😬 i did this, but with my brand new telescope
