  • I would not be eating something with a radioactive-based diet in space… that’s like 2 steps away from opening the gates of hell of something like that xD

  • I’m waiting for the notes on that meeting and how it affects Belgium’s position because from what I see here our MPs have approved only a temporary regime until April ‘26 with limitations until and actual set of rules is voted.

  • It eats the radiation, not its source though. The emitter would have to be removed. Maybe it could be used in shielding ? Like in space where background radiation seems to be a problem.

  • Let’s leave it at that, I’m getting the feeling that this isn’t worth the energy.

  • And my point is on explaining the reason driving persons to those models, not excusing anything but you seem not to grasp that distinction either so here we are.

  • Those are very much unrelated issues. What’s the relation with plagiarism and the very likely inaccurate / incorrect response on this topic? Not even mentioning that a lot of times an imperfect tool or solution is better that no solution.

  • I’m sure it’s much better to take your mental health to discord… to a bunch of certainly qualified anonymous… talk about being responsible ^^

  • Yeah but that’s called life as an adult. Also excusing isn’t the same as explaining. Sometimes (or even oftentimes it seems) we do shit ou of lack of reasonable choices.

  • Because an actual professional has 2 months of delays for an initial appointment and charges €80 a session? Also social stigma of consulting ? Especially for males… At least these are my top 3 for not going to a licensed professional. So I personally understand, to an extent, those persons.

  • Yeah sure but then it’s not so much about « getting a proper education » anymore. Or the education system is failing us which is even worse because then what’s the way out? How can I / we steer this situation so that people suck less? Man I’m terrified my kids will end up like that.

  • Belgium here but I guess it’s fair enough.

  • I’m curious what would be the bar for proper education. Yesterday I was lectured by my fucking dentist (8years of college) on how poor people are all abusing the system and should lose all social protections. And he’s absolutely not an isolated case. Most of the engineers I manage are exhibiting similar thoughts about the jobless or immigrants. Again, at least 5 years of college. This shit is a poison. This is being relayed more and more by persons from 26 to 40 and I guess above all around. It feels like a national sport ; always shit on the one perceived below.

  • It’s going to be a fun world without arts and philosophy…

And bravo to 18yo kids that have all that planned. Not sur life is set on rails and all for most of us. Sure didn’t feel that way for me. Or about everyone around me.

  • Only 29 months?! That’s a bit wasteful unless it’s being handed down…

  • Siems and such systems are designed for that. Could be part of SOC or CSIRT. Generally all large companies have that. It’s also getting more accessible to smaller structures in the form of « as a service ». A data leak is a data leak whatever the vector so shit needs to be detected & acted upon. It’s all fun & fair games when about Intel secrets it seems but what when a dickhead steals medical data or other perso stuff ?

  • Not keeping those specific bellies full is a tad risky business… This makes me rethink all the theories I read lately about trump’s 5D chess starvation plans honestly.

  • They don’t have the capability to deploy ISP-wide blocking in UK? Why is the charge of compliance put on some foreign company ?

  • where the fuck do you source your porn from so that choking is so prevalent ?! When looking for this sort of content it’s super hard to find some…

  • And what I shared was based on my personal involvement on the topic. As I said somewhere in the thread my expertise is limited to one country in Europe so the legal framework is vastly different but the more human and technological considerations are likely very transferable. And indeed there are criteria for warrants but that would be subject to interpretation at all steps plus not everything goes via warrants. Judge being lenient isn’t also accounting for their own metrics and perspectives. And additionally a whole lot of my personal issues would be related to how data, even when acquired both legitimately and with some regard for ethics, is handled. And that needs to be addressed by police forces and their providers.
