    Id personally have people using SteamOS than Windows, another thing is convincing people to use Linux is very difficult already.

  • Lua is awesome, I added some scripting to toggle replay buffer on OBS and to save recording from buffer then restart the buffer. IE: Save last 10-15 minutes of gameplay.

    Very cool to do it in Lua.

  • I love being alone. I don't know if anyone can add on any information about it what this is I feel:

    I don't mind hanging out with people but I will not do it on my free time.

    Coworkers want to get food together? Fine, and I talk and socialize just fine.

    People want to do something (anything) during the weekend? 0 interest. It's practically impossible for me to think "wow, I'd like that" and another thing is I don't like meeting new people and these events are almost always 5 of my friends and 13 people I do. kt care about in the least.

    I'm at home playing music, listening to music, practicing hobbies or watching shows I wanna watch. Playing games.

    I don't mind some social activities like skiing or whatever, but the whole set up and time lost preparing and etc is just enough to make me completely uninterested.

  • Does anyone have this issue where the steam login toast just nukes the fps of whatever you're playing ? I completely have disabled the overlay because of that.

  • I say use a live USB and boot into it and see how it goes. Note that it will be slower than if you were to use a drive BUT you can sort out your worries about wine performance and such right away.

    Mount windows drive, use steam to locate your games. Run them to test.

    Note that this is not a long term strategy, you do not want to use NTFS (windows) drive to play games. But it shouldn't cause any issues in short term testing.

  • If you think you are techy or you think you're as smart as the average person (or smarter) just use cachyOS.

    You will probably run into some issues but as long as you follow these rules you could be doing very well:

    1. OS drive has OS stuff and packages
    2. Media drive has games and stuff you care about

    The two shall never meet.

    Have an issue ? Wipe OS drive, in 2 minutes you'll be back in.

    Worried about configurations? Linux is all about using files for config, this pattern allows you to save files and reconfigure systems fast on the fly.

    Worried about something else? Ask me.

    There's nothing wrong with using another distro.

  • I tick lots of these. I also have a fear of heights so it's like sometimes the dream stage turns into the roof of a building and obviously I have to look down
