  • The pipeline from “crunchy to conspiracy” is very real. There always been some conspiracy on the left and far left of course don’t get me wrong but now with social media, algorithms, troll farms etc. those who are predisposed to conspiratorial thinking are going over the cliff. It was simply a matter of finding which topics they could exploit, like vaccines which originally mainly had those on the left being against them. You can still be very left while believing and supporting right wing ideas and policy because it has been presented to you in a way you find palatable and appealing and of course gives you plausible deniability that it’s actually some how not right wing allowing both your ego and identity to survive the shift.

A lot of far left supporters actually support some wildly oppressive, authoritarian and ableist ideas

  • It’s both human nature and the nature of protest. There’s a set theme or target and you rally around in. Protests aren’t actually places for nuisanced conversations about the specificities of who, what and where the problem is, they are ground swells to inspire, uplift and fight for change, it’s explicitly a “big picture” event, it’s not a discussion forum

  • Anyone else tear up or cry a little looking at these or am I just a big squishy baby? I have so many feelings looking at these, inspired, scared, even sometimes amused even if that’s followed immediacy disgust like the hotdog man photo, so many more feelings, feeling pretty proud of us too.

  • I feel like it’s more about cadence or speech patterns than an accent

  • And it’s doing all this by creating incredible amounts of CO2

  • Ok but if they’re mentally ill that’s not really on them, it’s the nature of mental illness

  • Yeah this “scholar” is just every millennial who was told to sit down at stfu by every adult in our lives even now that we’re the adults it hasn’t changed

  • Our LG washer/dryer are about 15 years old now, still working incredibly well and look new. Definitely worth looking into

  • He sells whoever he is partnered with, my uncle is that guy, he will sell you a shitty Maytag

  • I bought a Fisher-Paykel dishwasher from a friend (lots of high end brands will give you a “free” dishwasher with purchase of bigger appliances) for $400 and I’ve been thrilled with it A lot of people sell their free dishwasher cheap

  • The Baltics?? I won’t even corner Western Europe due to Putin the Baltic states seem clearly not safe

  • So the problem is that is gay??

  • No he didn’t? I literally just read the short interview he gave. The plane had already crashed, there was a hole he was able to open up with his legs and get through. There was no leaping and the plane wasn’t actively crashing, it was 100% crashed when he opened his eyes, realized he wasn’t dead and managed to wriggle out

  • I think lots of countries enforce things like animal welfare but animals are property, they don’t have “rights” you’re just required to not abuse them, and often the definition of “not abusive” is still pretty abusive/negligent
