  • I can't recall if that can be done, but it doesn't sound familiar. I'll look later and update if I see anything like that.

UPDATE: There is a "Sync" config item that allows you to define a Local Folder and a corresponding pCloud Drive Folder. It looks like you can define a local folder, but then the 'pCloud folder' is any folder you have in your pCloud drive, existing or new. Could that be what you're looking for?

  • They have an issue with something called the ICCU, which causes the 12V accessory battery to die, sometimes while driving. There is a recall on affected cars.

That said, I am leasing a 2024 and it really is a great car. I had the recall performed, but I also never experienced the failure. I have noticed an uptick since then in the car recharging the 12V (identified by the bright amber lamp illuminated on the dash while the car is off), so maybe it’s working. Though, my issue with the car is no rear wiper. It should have had a wiper. The 2025s do, but Hyundai incorrectly thought the first years needed them.

  • Fly high, Zeus, for you have ascended.

  • Another way on iOS is pressing the Power button 5 times. Same result, but I think it can be accomplished a little easier.

  • Sixth grade English teacher telling me that simultaneous doesn't mean "at the same time."

  • I’m one as well. Will be running the same install of EndeavourOS for 2 years next month.

  • Thank you for everything you have done for us. You and your work won’t be forgotten.

  • I just want to say that I miss your app. I’ve reported some issues in the past for Raccoon, to which you quickly addressed, but then I found myself moving from Android to iOS.

Not a day goes by where I’m reminded that Raccoon was the best lemmy app for me. It delivered the best features I liked from other apps and put it into a package developed by a friendly and highly responsive developer.

That said, I saw the post you mention yesterday, and even though your app is at the bottom, truth be told, I never noticed the issues with markdown that is being called out. In fact, I think the largest issue with almost all the apps I’ve tried are the way media is handled. Each dev has their vision on how to embed images, gifs and videos, but almost none of them do it well or in a user friendly way.

Regardless of your choice on how to proceed, there are people here who enjoy your app, care enough about your app to want to help make it better, and I hope that if I ever find myself using Android again, that Raccoon still exists (or you make an iOS version lol).

    Thank you!

  • Clear is now a TSA “vendor” for the precheck process. The machines they use for the sign up process - at least the airport I was at - don’t have the eye scanning camera in the kiosk.

The Clear representative I was asking questions of had said they don’t require eye scans for Clear, though that is the default. People can ask to use just fingerprints, which he said does disrupt the terminal process as the agents don’t think to ask if fingerprints were what was registered when the eye scans fail.

I am not advocating for Clear. I refuse to use them. I simply do want to call out that they are one of 3 who handle the process for the TSA now. People do have a choice of which of the three to use.

  • I’ve had the Eros E3.5s for a few years and they’ve not let me down on quality, especially at the price point.

    I also considered those Mackie’s.

  • I hope for the best! Sounds so sad, but you being strong may give him a chance.

I have a little guy I adopted. He checked out of the shelter fine, but as soon as we got him home, he wouldn't eat. We tried different things and tried what the vet advised us to do. Three days and he ate nothing. Became fairly lethargic and barely responsive.

We started force feeding wet/pate cat food and baby food through a syringe. He fought slightly, but ate it and kept it down. Then one day I just happen to be working with some shredded chicken in the kitchen and he came over and meowed at me. I gave him a little and he actively ate it himself. I gave more and more and he ate all that too. I went to the store and grabbed a couple cans of wet shredded chicken cat food, brought it home and served it to him. He ate it up.

It was such a relief to see. That was a year and 5 months ago and he's doing amazing. He still meows at me when I'm in the kitchen at lunchtime because he wants a little bowl of his chicken shreds, as that time of day is when I usually made it up for him when he was a kitten.

  • I was in a very similar position as you. Thirteen year user, moderator for a few smaller subreddits, including one that provided support for a US-based mobile phone carrier, and deleted everything when the API change happened.

It took time and effort to coordinate and help uplift those who generated the great content for those subreddits, but Reddit, Inc., was unwilling to help us moderators who had developed and used the tools necessary to do it. I wasn't willing to put in the additional time since Reddit was themselves unwilling to, post API change.

  • In response to such critiques, Reddit spokesperson Rathschmidt said he did not “know of an industry benchmark for scoring content quality”.

    (Emphasis mine)

This is the same tone deaf response I've come to expect from Reddit for some time now, and is why I'm happy to no longer be a user of their platform.

  • Agreed. It didn't feel respectful when they started replacing mod teams that refused to reopen.
