  • When you infantilize an entire species and see them as unworthy of having basic freedom. Hopefully one day you have your "am I the baddy" moment.

  • There is probably an elevated risk of killing cats in any electric vehicle because there are fewer signs that the car is "on" and about to drive.

  • I did assume stupidity. Racism and stupidity go hand in hand.

  • I don't get this post, is it just racist?

  • How about they build them here.

  • Fuck NHL 98

  • These are all phrases which are condescending, smug, and emotionally detached.

Saying "fuck you" is not condescending or smug, it's an expression of emotional anger.

Replace any of these phrases with fuck you and the meaning of what you are saying is completely changing.

So I don't agree that this post makes sense. It's straight up incorrect. It's a complete misinterpretation of the English language.

  • Have you met any person who can give you a real reason why they do like it? Why would anyone have a strong opinion about a word?

It's been popular to point out how moist is a funny english word to say for a long long time. It's bizarre that it's now turning into people liking or disliking it as if this is something which affects their life.

People who don't like the word moist seem dumb at best, mentally unsound at worst.

People who are quizzing others on if they like a word or not and then genuinely expecting a well argued reply sound even dumber or even more psychotic.

  • It's has been a meme that people hate pineapple on pizza since before we had the internet.

Knowledge of this meme greatly amplifies the reactions of people on both sides. They know that they are not simply offering their opinion of a random choice, but are engaging in cultural expression.

Now we have goofballs saying without irony that people who dislike on pineapple on pizza are shoving their opinions down everyone's through as of it's some personal slight and not just a silly cultural meme that they are expressing.

Anyone on either side of this question who gets genuinely upset about the topic has completely lost it.

  • Ugh man that's terrible. We call that getting cored. Get some end caps. Ow.

  • There is good info posted in this thread, so if you don't know anything about what you're commenting on, that's by choice.

  • That's such a bad take. Like sure it would be awesome to be less reliant on this industry, but you massively underestimate the amount of people who work in industries that support car production in Ontario. Thousands and thousands of people would lose a job which they can support their family with. These are good jobs that actually pay living wages.

The massive collective bargaining power of the automotive unions put upwards pressure on wages for everyone in the province.

Also we build a huge number of Toyota cars in Ontario.

Trump literally wants American car companies to stop paying Canadians to build the cars in Canada, do you want to accelerate Trump's vision of North America?

  • No no, it will be over just like a second! Blink for 120 trillion years and you'll miss it.

  • Except for then part where the person who works at an abusive school for troubled teens died trying to restrain a kid. That part is actually the universe healing itself a little bit.

  • This isn't a normal American school, it's an place where shitty parents send their unruly kids to be abused.

  • What does Harris have to do with the NDP? Wasn't he a conservative?

  • I don't think so. People cared about game of thrones. Stranger things was a one season show for me.

  • Maybe, but it's not at all conclusive. It could be that they aren't making enough money, it could be that the travelled to a country that the bank doesn't like, or made a social media post that the bank doesn't like, maybe they were rude to a teller, maybe they have the same name as someone who did something that the bank doesn't like and it was a mistake.

    There is no explanation given.

  • Here’s why you could be ‘debanked’ by your financial institution

Article proceeds to summarize personal anecdotes with absolutely no clear "why" provided at all.
