Imo that's backwards. Who cares. The backers backed it because they believed in the vision, and now it's been realized, so it's done.

Edit: I'd also like to add that they'd probably get even more sales if they put more of a discount on their games more often. Allow the super-budget gamers a chance to actually pay for your game you know?
Spider-Man 2. I did initially buy it when it first released on PC, but the performance was so bad I literally couldn't even do anything. So I returned it.
Edit: I'm also waiting for a good sale on Sonic x Shadow Generations. I don't really care about the Sonic half of the game, I just wanna play as Shadow.

Favorite: In-N-Out. As a California native, I always have to stop whenever I'm near one, and it literally has never disappointed. It's always just as tasty, just as fresh, and it's always a decent "budget" option ($11-13 for a combo meal that you know is gonna be delicious ain't half bad).
Least favorite: McDonald's probably; I don't count BK, but I don't think they're bad just not on my radar. It's the one I probably eat the least because it's just overrated and actual slop by now.
I get that. I use Revanced, my phone's DNS is set to "dns.adguard.com" and it blocks all ads (browser and mobile game/app ads), and on my PC I use Ublock.
I've seen ads on Instagram for it. That, and Good Luck Have Fun Don't Die (which imo looks pretty fun, even though I have no idea what it's about).
This (what your post is about) is a problem in that we all hate ads, so we go out of our way to not see any ads for anything. Then when new things come around, we're frustrated that we had no idea this was coming. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy at this point, that we're the reason for our discontent.
I was always a "Sonic fan" in that I thought they looked cool, I never really cared to learn about the lore or even really get good at the games. Shadow was my favorite cause duh, look at him.
These movies honestly made me want to go and get into the story and lore, and the third movie just felt like they pulled out all the stops when they were making it. Every scene was fun, I don't think there was a single moment where I thought it got dumb and annoying. The fucking SPOILER
Spoiler MOON PUNCH AND FINAL BATTLE, even the Robotnik/Eggman fight was kinda cool and fun to watch.
I went and promptly got Sonic Adventure 1 & 2, any Chao Garden playable content I could find (shoutout to Chao Resort Island on PC, a fun and free Chao Garden in the style of the GBA SA games) and got really into making my perfect Chao(s) with a couple mods that let you get some absolutely wild mutations.

Why did they get in trouble? Was it with Nintendo or the fans? I kinda remember some "controversy" over them using emulators instead of original hardware, but imo that's bullshit. Sometimes old hardware isn't better, and all kinds of things can go wrong with it.
