  • One thing that is definitely not computer related, so probably not a good advice, is to not design a video game, but a card game or boardgame.

That can take month (hell, mine has been in the works for a couple years now), but you get to learn to design mechanics, systems, rules, crappy placeholder art, and so many things, which can then be used latter as experience for game design.

I'd recommend doing a simple card game that people can print with paper (Print n Play games are quite common on the Internet).

Take a mechanic, mood, or simple idea:

    • A game where player are together trying to solve a murder mystery (cards with plots, Clues, interrogation, maybe something inspired by Clues but updated,...).
    • a game where player compete to build a small fortified city, and then send armies to each other to pillage resources and money.

  • A ~2mn part of the Olympics opening ceremony had an AI video so I don't think the IOC would even care 🤷‍♂️

  • I got Hexcodle #899 in 4! Score: 68%

  • That's mostly due to the Volume setup they use, to film without green screen, in some/most scenes.

You can clearly see it in kenobi, I guess in Mandalorian Season 1 it wasn't that noticeable because it was brand new.

And that's why Andor feels so much larger and grounded, a lot of on-location shooting, with classic green screens for ships cockpit and others.

Edit: and I re-read your post only now to notice you already talked about the Volume... I need to get a nap

  • What if it's some system where you buy a server system in a box with everything pre-installed, you can use it as a console game box, and when not in use it's a game streaming server to other players (like Geforce Now), and it pays a bit in your steam wallet.

So it would be a Mainframe, without the Main as it's distributed, hence a Frame
