  • Mark Zuckerberg is one of them terrifying milk robots from from an Alien film.

  • Iirc it doesn't. There's differing reasons for why Freddy Krueger becomes what he is depending on the continuity but killing animals never comes up.

  • Moths, especially really fluffy ones.

For example - the pine arches moth.

  • FRANKENSTEIN NEVER ACHIEVED HIS DOCTORATE!

    HIS NAME IS VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN!

  • So my costume idea for a Halloween party was shot down.

It comprised of dressing close to how I do normally (big dysphoria hoodie and all) except I was also gonna wear my keffiyeh and stick a pride pin to it, and lug a protest sign with me.

Boo! I'm the spectre of a politically active minority! I have differing geopolitical views to you! Boo!

Apparently it wouldn't play well with my brother's partner's family...

  • Oestradiol and testosterone are both steroid hormones, so they wouldn't go there because there'd be a risk that someone might get gender affirming care.

  • Where? All I see is a person sitting at an empty desk.

  • I don’t feel bad for the soviet solders any more than I feel bad for the russian soldiers in ukraine right now. they choose to be there by not surrendering or turning on their officers. if they get wiped out to the last man, that’s on them. they deserve what they’re getting for invading another country, the same way the US deserved what it got in iraq and afganistan.

"If the Red Army wanted my sympathy, they simply should've laid down their weapons and let the Nazis expand and genocide to their hearts content. I AM A PRINCIPLED ANTI-AUTHORITARIAN!"

    Deeply unserious person.

  • That screenshot has the distinctive look of one of those ID tech 4 FPSs. Man's got that Prey (2006) lighting. All that time and resources, and the tech needed to run it, just to make it look like a quake 4 mod.

  • It's also worth noting that the whole "soviet citizens deserved genocide" stance is a recurring hill for cryptagion to die on and that he was banned from Hexbear previously for doing it on his dbzer0 account.

This is a sincerely held belief that he keeps coming back to, not some one off trolling attempt he didn't think through completely. I can't understand why a supposedly anarchist instance would tolerate someone with such a worldview.

  • Headband of miner intellect:

    • Forged by a dwarven artificer who lost too many colleagues due to their lax attitude around safety.
    • Anyone wearing this headband becomes aware of the quality of air and props for whatever tunnel they're currently in.
    • Wearers possess an intrusive urge to find proper protective equipment before attempting a task.
  • Also it's blunt as a butter knife because none of its past users wanted to try to sharpen something that is always on fire.

  • Sleeping Dogs has been in my backlog for a while and I watched Hard Boiled last week, so I decided I'd finally get 'round to it.

It's not anywhere near an original end to this kinda thing, but the fact that Wei goes on to become a beat cop after feeding Big Smile Lee through the ice chipper was a good touch. Like, they took a look at this recent mass shooter (who has been murdering suspects constantly since day 1 of being assigned to this case) and thought, "yes, this is the man we need out there working for us."

The DLC making it so that his punishment for going rogue and killing all those people is working as a traffic cop.

There's, like, a five minute pause between Wei ticketing an illegally parked car, beating to death/arresting its driver, finding the car has a bomb in it, and killing a completely unrelated person with a payphone on the walk back to his squad car.

Honestly, he shoulda gone back to America, they'd've promoted him.

  • Immovable Rod:

    • Not actually a magical rod.
    • Actually just a bloke called Roderick, or Rodney, or something to that effect.
    • Won't move out of your way.
    • Not even if you ask politely.
  • It's got those owl horn tuft things.

  • There's an owlbear you can pet, if that counts for anything.

  • Would Trapt or Drowning Pool consider a fascist music fest, though?

When it came out that Bodies was blasted into the cells of Guantanamo Bay as part of the sleep deprivation torture they do there, Drowning Pool's bassist made a statement in favour of torture and US military abduction sites like Gitmo. Source

Drowning Pool even played a concert there. Source

    Seems pretty fash imho.

  • You can hug him at one point in the story while he's in human form but I don't think there's ever the option to cuddle him in bear form.

  • My grandmother's always keeping an eye out for old socialist literature she can pass on to the rest of the family. Today she handed me a gem of a book she picked up at a charity shop.

It's a reprint of essays written in this old English Demsoc newspaper.

It's fascinating in that the authors of these essays have taken the opposing side on every revolutionary struggle within their lifetimes. There's essays about how the Irish are waging a futile struggle that'll never liberate Ireland. There's multiple essays accusing Lenin of not being Communist enough. Vietnam's an opportunist nationalist uprising. There's atrocities on both sides of the Spanish civil war. Feminism is counter-revolutionary.

During the Brixton and Toxteth riots, the writers take the time to side with Margaret Thatcher and complain about how badly the police were treated.

Truly not a single age is free from the "I'm as left as they come but..."
