  • kak·is·toc·racy [kakɪˈstɒkrəsi]noun

    • government by the least suitable or competent citizens of a state
    • a state or society governed by its least suitable or competent citizens

I never saw such talent of choosing people like Trump. Not a single one has a working brain. Not a single one, maybe chosen accidentally. Zero. This is real talent.

Ah maybe for NASA? That billionaire maybe had some talent and that's why he had to replace him with a totally incompetent one.

  • i mean with wine, but compared to the last time i tried it with office apps (playonlinux around 2018) it's WAY more compatible

  • Fedora, now it's shockingly easy to use.

I silently replaced windows in the home PC and it took 2 months for the tech illiterate SO to say "WTF, why you put Apple on this PC, I thought you hated them" (put same username/password, same wallpaper, even Microsoft Edge)

At work I was shocked that I could login directly as user@windows.domain without any extra configuration. Plain vanilla fresh install, typed my active directory account for laughs, it worked 😲

Also at work I was shocked to see that I could just run the exe of the windows-only accounting software and everything works. I even installed LibreOffice in wine, lol (the accounting software needs soffice.exe for generating spreadsheets). I could even install foxit reader for windows 😂 (sorry, all the Linux PDF readers completely suck when printing, I need previews and booklet and all the extra features)

  • that means it's almost useless then, because SEPA offers absolutely zero fraud protection. Once you sent the money, it's impossible to get it back even if you contact the bank 1 second later.

Exception: some hacker did some social engineering and posing as the ministry of defense, persuaded one of the richest men in italy to send him a bribe via SEPA. In that case the banks were able to reverse it one week after. Normal people instead gets only a FUCK YOU.

  • Did they pay the bribe donate some millions to trump's golden ballroom?

Nowadays it's a cheap and almost mandatory investment to bribe an official donate to the presidential library in order to get preferential treatment.

  • But an iPhone 4S nowadays is completely unusable, it's impossibile to run a browser that doesn't use a ten years old engine. For reference, a galaxy Nexus from the same age could run android 6 (custom ROM, otherwise android 4.3) and can still run most modern apps.

If you can find parts for the iphone 4s it's because some warehouse is still full of them, not because Apple is still manufacturing them if needed

  • Most of his assets are in meme stocks, not cash (otherwise he would need to pay taxes, completely unacceptable for him)

Tesla stocks are 1000x the real value and Will crash as soon he's no more the CEO.

Same for SpaceX shares that have artificially inflated value from a bullshit valuation of xitter+xai. Not being a public company they can value that at any price, it's not actually worth the 1 trillion they claim themselves

  • I have a Lenovo usb keyboard with a fn Key in place of the Ctrl key that has absolutely no purpose. It's for volume control like fn+F7 BUT... IT ALSO HAS DEDICATED BUTTONS FOR VOLUME CONTROL!!

After the nth time I accidentally switched fn and Ctrl I took a screwdriver and popped it out permanently (being USB it doesn't report fn status to the os and of course the BIOS doesn't allow FN remapping because it's not a laptop)

  • Not really, it sends a combination of 3 really fast button combination on press and doesn't report to the os when your finger releases the key. You need to run a daemon that detects that specific combination and emulates a finger release after a specified time

Assholes. Couldn't they just remap one of the useless "internet" keys from the 00s like KEY_HOMEPAGE or XF86Mail??

Or create a brand new scancode since they could change the kernel without any problem, especially because the manufacturers would need to change the keyboard firmware anyway AND because copilot requires special hardware, it doesn't need retro compatibility with older windows versions that don't have the scancode in kernel or in the keyboard driver

  • Did they see how fucking dirty are the cows in a farm? They literally let them rest in the shit. And then they want to get all that shit raw and unfiltered in their mouths??

  • Same for most airports that I saw, all only reachable via highways

  • But there are many in American soil that are significantly cheaper than Walmart and similar. Of course if a commissary is placed in a base in Okinawa, in the middle of the ocean on the other part of the globe, then stuff is much more expensive
