It's supposed to be. According to law an H1B employee should be treated with the same rights as someone who is a citizen or a permanent resident. You're supposed to document that no citizen would take the job. In practice it's difficult for H1B employees to change jobs because of the limited window to find a new employer so they can easily be manipulated and abused.
I also jever thought of gim as a genius. I also never bought the idea he was a force for good. He's always been a narcissist. He just used the "good work" he was doing as a shield. We now see his true self
I'm thinking it will be a repeat of his first time. He had majorities in both houses and couldn't get any major policies through because of infighting. With wich a slim majority I think we'll see the same thing.
I thought we'd at least get to Trump's inauguration before the major infighting started. The next 4 years will be brutal. I hold on to some optimism that we'll make it through but it's going to be hard.
It's not just younger people. A lot of my fellow GenXers only communicate via Facebook messenger.
