Nice to get that in official testimony, but duh. It was obvious all along that there was nothing even close to the sort of threat that might colorably justify the deployment.
But of course, that was never the point. The Trump regime was just trying to establish a precedent that they could send troops in to violently suppress protests, and as far as that goes, the fact that the protests posed no real threat was a good thing, because what they want is to be able to violently suppress whatever protests they want, whenever they want, for whatever reason they want.
"Assassination" is the correct word, and should be used in all references not only to al-Sharif's murder, but all of the hundreds of journalists Israeli forces have very deliberately and systematically murdered over the years.
