  • Solomons are really good, but their hoka styles have been terrible. I bought a pair, and they instantly started delaminating in weeks. The tread also wore away super quickly.

Their traditional running style shoes still offer historic durability and should last longer. I just wish that they were built better for the price.

  • Not just the old ones, many of them in the administration look super strange with even weirder views.

One looks like they fought a lawnmower at a barbershop and lost, another looks like a fanfic witch from The Matrix, several of them look like cast members from The Witch (movie), others have...odd features that make them look like WW2 villains or slightly methed out. And all of them are batshit insane.

You can't even find people like that in a big city.

  • I think you probably hit the nail on the head here. I've been holding off on MGSV because it's $20, and I'm waiting for that 50% off sale.

Buuut, that didn't stop my from buying silksong at full price. Or Factorio. :)

  • Thank you!

  • I found spider mites on a different plant this weekend. I think it may have been mites, but I'm not certain. I've declared war on the mites and hopefully just sterilized all of my plants.

  • This is a Silksong boss, probably.

  • Just a heads up, you can also freeze fresh spinach in the freezer for smoothies! It keeps pretty well because it freezes into individual "chips" that don't stick together unless it thaws. It's excellent if you'd usually be throwing away spinach that was going to go bad. I recommend buying and freezing a large portion immediately in a freezer bag, just so it doesn't get mushy in your fridge.

  • I'm literally in the same boat right now. Apparently the motor cover cannot be taken off for service on my specific bike. :/

  • Oh no, I meant Melina. Though Usha needs to find a better guy. Good lord, haha.

  • It gives me hope for the future- we'll weather this storm and come out with a better movement, most likely. But it takes time, annoyingly. I'm glad I read his book!

  • Regulations do vary from state to state too. Some states allow you to treat stop signs as yields if there are no cars present.

  • Can confirm. I've seen $145 charges at Costco gas. Big truck country, where gas is cheap...

  • The president married an immigrant too, lol.

  • During the last lavender scare, the Russians were just as paranoid that their gay citizens were western inventions and persecuted them quite heavily.

...while the US did the same, thinking they were also security risks. This culminated in a society so fearful that people used to introduce themselves first by telling people that they had a wife and kids, then their name. A government official even killed themselves at their desk because their son was outed as gay. We even sabotaged our own ICBM program by firing one of the only astronomers we had capable of working on such things, because he was gay.

He went on to be the father of the gay rights movement as we know it today.

David K Johnson has a whole book about the whole lavender scare, it's quite a good read.

  • Or worse, getting pushed by new colonial powers like Russia to ban "western" things like LGBT rights while they steal all the gold and other resources from them. I was hoping Prigozhin dying like a moron would have sapped the Russian's colonial forces in Africa. Unfortunately not.

  • I absolutely love this strip so much.

  • One hole for everything! A pseudo-cloaca :3

  • I use a thick chain on my ebike. I forget if it's 11mm or 13mm. But it is thick AF. I also have a Ulock for extra protection. Your city might also use a locker program, which might be administered through something like Bikelink. If so, use it. The lockers are usually spread out in high foot traffic areas like transit hubs.

If weight is a concern, I'd get a ulock like the Hiplok D1000. It's going to take thieves about 10 cutting wheels to get through.

Men, are you physically affectionate with other male friends? (eg, hugging, snuggling, playful wrestling, etc). If you aren't, do you wish it was more socially acceptable if it isn't in your culture?
