Yeah you can use the benefits of mycorrhiza for keeping the tree healthy but what I meant is using it as a way to grow mushrooms at home that you couldn’t otherwise. Sacrificing a bonsai each time probably wouldn’t be quite worth the effort though 😅 Maybe there’s a way to keep a detached root alive long enough for the mycelium to prey on it and fruit some shrooms. Sounds like a fun project at least.

Hunger often goes away after a little while if you don’t pay attention to it. Even if your stomach is legit empty. I slowly changed my routine to 3 meals a day basically by just doing it until it no longer sucks. Doesn’t even take that long for the body to adapt.
