That is definitely not true for DisplayPort. If you need anything beyond DP 1.4, the cable market is a minefield. I even encountered a monitor that was straight up incompatible with DP 2.1. Would not work with a new graphics card, while HDMI still worked fine.
I just don't give a fuck anymore. My approach is nihilism. I do as much as I can (e.g. by donating, voting, not wasting ressources, avoiding factory farming, brightening peoples days), without inconveniencing myself too much. I am trying to be the best version of myself, but I'm also responsible for shit. If the latter happens to change, I will gladly try to use whatever influence I get for good. In a perfect world, immigration would just be regulated due to welfare and legal reasons, which seems reasonable enough. In reality you might want to question why some legislation actually exists. Is it reasonable, or is its whole purpose to prevent some immigration?

If he was right on anything but the political spectrum, I would. I'm not sure what he is refering to, but while the current government is kinda pro nuclear, so far they have only announced more reliance on natural gas than previously planned, after the CDU had already criticized the planned capacity. This is meant as an equally reliable and more environmentally friendly replacement for coal, and it's planned to eventually transition the gas grid to (hopefully green) Hydrogen. It is in no way reversing course on the green deal.
Disclaimer: I'm not a huge a fan of this plan, but it's much more reasonable than Trump makes it sound.
